Its really not that interesting...he has had Bryce ranked below Stroud from the beginning and he also said certain team officials he talked to were not that high on Bryce. Not everybody thinks Bryce is the best QB out the draft unless you just been tuning them out all this time.

Simms liked (and assuming still does) Stroud because he’s a better passer, same reason I did (past tense). Not because he’s taller. Hope he’s wrong this time. #brycebros

I mean in that whole Bryce segment in the video above he basically talks about the size, that was basically the whole media talking point today after people seeing him under center at rookie camp. He's usually in pads and 5-10 yards behind the line out of shotgun so it is a bit jarring to see

Ah didn’t watch that, was just going off the previous rankings and comments he made during draft season

Eisen, NFL live, Colin, they all brought up the size today. Guess that's going to be the media thing until he starts winning games

Yea, I’m sure it’s a pretty stark contrast to see him next to NFL players now, maybe some people just kind of buried their head in the sand a bit because of how good he looked in college.  You’re right though, as soon as he starts putting up the points like he did in college it’ll rubber band the other way and he’ll start getting mega hyped as breaking the mold and creating a new mold.  Seems like our thing these days, leading the revolutions. First with Cam and now breaking that mold we pretty much started with Cam with Bryce heh

Lot of scouts had Richardson #1, CJ #2 and Young #3.

I'll also add that if Young was 6-2 or taller and weighed 230ish, that wouldn't be the case. He'd be a clear cut #1 most years with prototype size

You’re gonna have to define “lots”. Bryce was the consensus #1 QB on every consensus big board I’ve looked at, and the #1 overall prospect on many. He was the clear cut #1 DESPITE the size. He was the QB teams were trying to trade up to #1 for. Our team scouts, coaches, and FO were unanimous.

People need to drop the narrative that there was no clear top prospect this year because it’s just not true. Just think how good he is to be the consensus top prospect in a good QB class despite his size.

What's funny about these Bryce Young doubters is nobody can explain why he is the #1 QB at every level.

How is this little guy the #1 QB prospect in high school, the #1 QB prospect in college, and now the #1 pick in the draft?

He went to Mater Dei and Alabama.  He hasn't exactly been slumming it in obscurity.  He has had a nice football career so far.  None of that matters now.  He needs to put on a show for a new fanbase that didn't go to Mater Dei or Alabama.

It does matter. It's why we took him #1 overall. You can't ignore his accomplishments and act like he has accomplished nothing of significance.

And please don't include me with your new fanbase. Yall have different expectations than most. Im not about to give him the Cam treatment like you're prepared to do. He's not going to be a superstar overnight but if he is an improvement from what we had the past few years then that's a good start. I believe in this kid I have no doubt he will keep winning on every level. His career so far has proven that he can.

Trust the process!

If Caleb Williams was draft eligible he’d go #1 overall over Young.

So as long as he's better than Sam Darnold, that's okay with you?  Yeah, we are definitely on different planets.
