Draft lottery talk

They need defense and scoring from 3pt, (worst 3pt shooting team in the NBA) one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA.

Miller can play the 2 and 3 as a rookie and eventually be able to play the 2 through 4.

He can drive, has handles (needs to get stronger to finish at the rim in the NBA)

More athletic than you would think with his play style.

Scoot fixes none of those issues and actually makes them worse at both.

Miller as a rookie will be a 3 and d guy that the team can build around with Lamelo.

Possible to come out of the draft with this.

Brandon Miller, GG Jackson, Ben Sheppard, James Nnaji and Keyontae Johnson with the later picks.

Trade Rozier to another team for draft picks/prospects. Sign and trade PJ. Run a super young team and see who makes the cut.

Lamelo, Miller, Bridges, Hayward, Williams.

Maledon/Smith, Sheppard, Keyontae Johnson, GG Jackson, Richards

That sheds most of the cap once Hayward comes off the books and gives the team a ton of high upside young players to surround Lamelo with plus gives the team enough cap space to go after another player to play with what should be an exciting young team in 2 years.

Could end up with a starting lineup that's 6-7 plus and can run and move. Gives you the defense and shooting to surround miles and lamelo with as well.

Drafting Miller over Scoot will end up being another example in a long line of Hornets drafting mistakes. I expect nothing less from this franchise.

You do realize that most NBA teams have the two players on the same level talent wise?

That's with Miller working out with him down 13 plus pounds from having mono.

Talent definitely isn't the question. The issue is down the line which player will be more committed to basketball and not have any major distractions. Why did Miller need a second workout to seem more "engaged"? You can love his size and shooting ability while acknowledging this is a classic Hornets kind of risk with an undisputed high probability of ending the way we suspect based on Miller's off court baggage before his NBA career has even begun.

He has been recovering from having mono and is/was down 13 plus pounds over his normal weight.
