Draft lottery talk

Talent definitely isn't the question. The issue is down the line which player will be more committed to basketball and not have any major distractions. Why did Miller need a second workout to seem more "engaged"? You can love his size and shooting ability while acknowledging this is a classic Hornets kind of risk with an undisputed high probability of ending the way we suspect based on Miller's off court baggage before his NBA career has even begun.

Genuine question: what concerns you about his off the court situation? That there might be more to the story than what's come out? Returning the gun doesn't reflect poor judgement to me.

This is one of the most laughable franchises in all of pro sports. It really is. Drafting for fit at the #2 overall spot when you have a guy that would be the consensus #1 overall pick in most draft is insane.

Jordan really is an idiot going back to his Wizards days. Just a complete bozo on the scouting, team building, and development level.

I'm glad I adopted the Nuggets when I moved to Denver in 2009.

Good luck to Brandon Miller, but we all know how this ends. Bozos.

There isn't some huge drop off from Scoot to Miller.  Both are similarly ranked prospects.  Honestly Scoot didn't make the leap this past year that people thought he would (he is still a great prospect).  Scoot is a super athletic facilitator of the ball who is a slasher and will attack the rim.  Miller is the 3 and D elite shooter/scorer.  Both are extremely talented with one with one being the best player in the NCAA last year and the other being the best in the G league.  Drafting for fit with two closely ranked prospects actually makes some sense.

My concern is maturity. I do think there was some poor judgement also. Not real sure on the details but bringing a firearm to a bar is a bit dangerous. I mean damn if ya boy bout to get jumped or face a shoot out in the parking lot yeah we got you. But the victim being a girl wow.

Involved in a murder investigation before entering the NBA is a legit concern doesn't mean he isn't talented or he is a monster. But for a franchise such as ours we would be fools to dismiss it out of hand and that is completely reasonable. That's all I'm saying.
