Not sure who all saw this in the OTAs thread, but this story just impressed the hell out of me as had all the things i've been hearing about him...especially the word "poise" i keep hearing/seeing said about him in all aspects. 

the kid is as impressive as you could want anyone to be so far.

He researched the offensive strategies employed by Reich in his past coaching roles, ensuring that he was well-prepared and knowledgeable about the team’s potential playbook.

If we get above .500, I am good. That is a big success for where we are in this transition. If we finish a game or two under .500, not a big deal.

Damn, that's impressive.

Kid's definitely got the mental side of things under control. If he can even be just half decent in the physical realm, he could have a really long and successful career.

I'd add the word "poise" is what I always used to hear they were looking for during the swimsuit portion of the Miss Whatever pageants. When guys watch those though, I don't really think too many of them turn to each other and say "Man, she's got some nice poise" 😕

what I thought early on when i really started paying attention to him is that he's the QB version, at least mentally, of Luke Kuechly.

He doesn't just know intimately his offense and what they are supposed to be doing at any given moment within a play, he also knows intimately his opponents and where they are supposed to be at any at any given moment within a play. that makes it easy for him to anticipate, work around, and manipulate defenders.

yeah, college is easier than pros, but which QBs coming out of college, even among successful ones, have had this kind of reputation?

the guy is mentally on another level.

      Bill Polian and Bill Lekas on Chalk Talks SiriusXM radio this morning.  Polian needs to retire (again). First he talks about Andy Dalton as our backup and then suggests trading down to get Sadiq. Clueless. At least he brought up the hole losing Ashawn Robinson caused.

I'm pretty sure I'm a lot older than you, am a whole lot more experienced with life, and have watched football in earnest probably longer than you've been alive. I agree, but I was talking directly about injuries. As far as the economics, I'm assuming that Moton would have to take a pay cut and would probably be compelled to if he wants to stay in Charlotte. He seems like a thoughtful and practical guy. He knows that he's getting older and realizes the nature of the business. Hell, last time there were were questions on whether he would be here the last season. Dan and Brandt were dialing up the pressure. I don't think they're going to go into any type of contractual extension discussions without having a backup plan--i.e., a person that will appear to be Moton's replacement. And, to be honest, that person may be Moton's replacement depending how things go. But, I get the impression that Moton wants to be in Charlotte (unless he's developed some undying desire to chase a championship somewhere else).

      It would be pretty fun with something like this. 3 on 3 the first 5 minutes, 2 on 2 the next 5 minutes (after a stoppage), then 1 on 1 (after a stoppage) the rest of the way. I just feel like this would be equal parts entertaining and chaos to watch
