I cannot see Bryce being voted a team captain without actually playing his first NFL game.  He will earn it, not be handed it, if he's voted captain

Why does he have to play a game to be a captain?

 

Captain is about leadership and who the players respect in the locker room. This kid already carries himself like 10yr vet. I will be shocked if he isn't a captain this year.

By the time it will have been voted on he’ll have had four months to earn it. I think he will, everything put out so far makes it sound like he’s earning the respect of everyone on the offense.  The extra studying and things like that will be noticed by his teammates.

i mean Darnold was a team caption and Baker was last year as well... you think they were voted for or handed?
