In the past decade the nfc south winner has won double digit games all but 2 times.   Last year and us in 2014.   There has never been a wild card team with single digit wins in 20 years.   So unless you truly think this team can win 11-12 games then I would not hold my breath on the playoffs.   I just hope to see progression and competency for this team and staff.  

 

In closing last year was a complete aberration and not anywhere close to the norm.

Oh I don't disagree but to me, finishing 1-2 games out of a wildcard spot is about where I think we will end up. Close enough that if a couple breaks go our way we could sneak in.

Starting when I was five or so, I've run about fifty at this point.

Coming up on thirty as a Panthers fan. Some good, some bad, some ugly.

Hopeful to have thirty or forty more, God willing.

1 or 2 off the wildcard would be almost as good as making the super bowl with this squad.  That would be a hell of a season

holy mother of god these comments about drinking during the game are insane. I had no idea this place was so dry. I thought I was lame for only drinking on a friday after work during a football game, but little did I know I was a full fledge alcoholic drowning my sorrows in the bottle.

You're focused on wins. If we win the division which is realistic we make the playoffs.

 

We almost made it last year with 7 wins.

Definitely but preseason doesn’t tell us anything. I’m giving them time to settle in but I wouldn't fault you for feeling this way during the regular season.

The focus is the fact you are incapable to properly process preseason football. 

I'd hate to see what else you fail to properly process. 

That's a much bigger issue than any preseason game.

      This is perspective and I think Canales’ dad was a shrink. His description of this lack of urgency which we see is ‘cold blooded’. Not excited just surgical.  Also, the 1 of 11 while a smart way to go, is also a pretty big smoke job probably intended to take pressure off of the QB., But which is it? I don’t think we were looking at cold blooded killer last year. Maybe he can kill something, but he is up against a lot. I am going to have to defend him somewhat on the leadership though because it was his first season and his play was not strong enough for him to start putting people on notice or any talk at all. And his voice... and he looks like a kid. It would probably hurt him more than help him in to be rah rah in that situation. Just grind.

      Yeah man I don't see the big deal. I played football we develop a brotherhood and I was coached to never quit on your teammates no matter how bad the situation is.   I think CMC is a good person. My issue was with him milking injuries because we were in a bad situation. I can never respect that as a competitor especially from my own teammate.   Some people may disagree that's fine.
