The impressive throw you wanted from Bryce

Well I suppose you overlooked the "contested" part of my comment.  Chark is blanketed by the defender who is able to deflect the pass.  If throwing a 10 yard defended pass is the pass we were all waiting to see then I'm just going to agree to disagree.

the ball isnt deflected... lol.

You could make argument that the hesitation and poor mechanics on the throw ruined the attempt. His feet are not set and the throw is all arm and unbalanced, he got away with this a lot in college with bad mechanicson throws. If he moves over from the pressure plants his feet and throws with more velocity and placement this might be a completion.

So after three starts the shining moment we're hanging our hat on is a ball thrown slightly not far enough out in front allowing the trailing defender to make a play? I mean, damn. That pretty much says everything.

It wasn't a bad throw and was much more just a good defensive play but if that ball is two feet further out from the defender leading Chark it's probably a TD. Y'all had almost convinced me Chark had dropped that ball. That's a PBU. If Chark had caught it? Hell, I'm honestly not sure the ball ever even touched his hands. Do you honestly not see the defender's hand deflecting that pass?

From the other view from the front side the ball is not deflected. It was a nice throw from Bryce.

thats after it hits DJ's helmet.. I just posted video proof. The ball doesnt change flight path until it hits DJ

Yeah this clip shows it clearly.  I think the first clip may be missing frames.

Mind changed, this should have been caught and stands up to your original assessment.

Ok yeah this isn’t the play I thought you were talking about. It’s a solid throw. A better WR probably catches that. This isn’t a type of catch I’d ever expect Chark to make but that has nothing to do with Bryce or the throw

Some miserable people around here.

they’d rather go grab their tissue box and beat off to a CJ Stroud pass to a WR with no one within 20 yards of the guy in their custom Panthers Stroud jersey they bought after McCown said “when you move to Carolina”

instead being excited for at some of the few small glimmers.

    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
    • I mean, our TE room does suck but we had other pressing needs and no surefire upgrades in the draft. I was surprised at how many TEs went in the first three rounds. I think most everyone was. You want a guy who projects at least as a guy who has the potential ceiling to be a starter in those rounds and I didn't see 11 of those in this draft. Off the top of my head, I think that's how many TEs went in the first three rounds. It was in that range. That's roughly 10% of the overall picks. Definitely did NOT see that coming with this TE class.
