Brian Burns is beating double teams

Burns is leading the team in sacks, forced fumbles, TFLs, QB hits, and pressures all while facing more double teams.

What's he supposed to do? Play offense too? Pay the man before folks are crying about him balling out somewhere else!

We have way too many needs to pay an edge rusher that kind of money. Trade him off for picks and use that money to sign several other players to try to build a more complete roster.

I've been pro-Burns but you can't deny his disappearances. It's looking like we should have figured out a way to keep DJ and trade him. Moore and Brown should have been the only two off limits if we were making a move for a franchise QB.

I think we're going to hang on to Brian and place the franchise tag on him, possibly trade him in the offseason, not in-season

I’m not sure how much longer he will be here but we have to start looking at the future. No huge contracts no trading away top picks.

I'm all for trading Burns for picks as long as Fitt is not the GM. Otherwise we aren't really getting value for Burns if Fitt is in control of those picks.

Yeah, sorry man. Burns disappearing and not making big plays when it counts is the reality. He is a very good pass rusher but his effectiveness and value is not top-tier.

Paying burns top 5 pass rusher $ is a mistake and will hurt the franchise in the long run. So that’s exactly what fitt will do

Drafting a Rookie QB allows you to pay the guys on the team around him before you have to spend a huge chunk of the cap on said QB. 
 

Stop trading good players for picks and start drafting better. If Fitt or any other GM can’t build a competent team with a QB on a rookie contract they have no business being a NFL GM.
