Reich handing over playcalling to Brown

This was Reich’s plan all along, correct?

Should led to positive results. Game management should improve and play calling. If neither does, I’m good with a complete coaching fire sale. If it does improve, I’ll give them another year.

I still say our biggest issue is lack of talent.

SMH...

it took this long to make that decision...

Fire Reich if Brown succeeds, Frank shouldn't get the credit at all-more like the credit for us being bad, he assemble a good group of guys but he himself is not amongst them.

I don't think Frank hired all the staff to begin with.

All?  No, just the most important roles.  Some lower level staffers were allowed to be picked by the guys the would be reporting to.  STs and OL coaches were holdovers at he request of the front office.

I thought there was reporting that the owner/gm paired a lot of this up....and it wasn't just them hiring a HC that did what he pleased.

Remember what sold Tepper was the list of coaches Frank said he would bring in.  Frank didn't get all the guys he wanted and had some plan B's and C's, but yeah, he had his staff pretty much assembled on paper.

The only thing that's going to make a difference is getting the defense healthy, OGs healthy and hope we can run the ball while keeping opponents under 21 points.  Thomas Brown ain't putting 40+ points on anyone and that's where our defense is at right now.

No one thinks he is putting up 40 with this roster.  If he can go then ahead and promote him now.  We are looking for an offense that has a pulse.  How about at least 3 whole offensive TDs for starters.  Hopefully we see an up-tempo offense in rhythm that gives us some hope and possibly a win.  Also we only have one OG coming back this year our other starter won't be.

Also remember guys, Frank said from the jump that he would "initially" be calling the plays and would hand it over to Brown at "some point." There wasn't a specific date when the baton would be handed off, but obviously going into the bye week would make the most sense giving the offense 2 weeks to get used to the adjustments.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
