It had to be one of the 15 or so plays where he was able to get up after being buried in the turf by a defensive lineman.

Yeah, hes tough as hell, I dont think anyone can take that away from him. Still though, can we please fix our o-line? Its not ideal long term lol

LG has been clear in that he wants to see the long passes. He has wanted Young to change his narrative. If Young continues player better each week more people will come around. It’s all good and we all want Carolina to become competitive. Let’s just enjoy a win for a change without trying to start a pissing contest.

Come on now. It was a very good play but he threw that ball 35 yards through the air, a feat that literally every NFL QB can do, and it was the type of heave that can be vulnerable to interception. He had a nice game today but this play does not support an arm strength argument.

A heave?  Come on. This isn’t Aaron Brooks we are talking about.

He has no base to throw.  It’s all arm strength and he puts it on a dime.  Something not a lot of players can do.  But he did it at Bama a bunch.

Yes, this was Russel Wilson-level slop - it's OK to recognize that and we can all appreciate that it's nice to have it on our side. Doesn't change that those throws are othen ill-advised and it was fortunate the defense didn't intercept it. Nice to be able to get away with it but the best part of the play was escapability, not the throw.

I am in no way suggesting that Levis is a better QB than Bryce and am only referencing the arm strength factor that you brought up, so don't bother creating that straw man, but Levis' 4th TD today was 50 yards off his back foot. That is arm strength. Bryce played a solid game today for sure and after a very rocky start is trending up but he still labors to put zip on throws and his arm is not comparable to top NFL arms at this time. It is what it is.

He threw it to a one on one and had the vision to see it whilst on the move to his LEFT.  It’s an A+’play.  Don’t be a clown.

No, it's not. It's a lucky slop throw, just like the ones Russel Wilson used to get away with and no longer does, and you have now moved the argument from it being a display of superior arm strength, which it is not, to the play in general.

I have nothing else to say here, so believe what you like. I'll agree with anyone that it's nice to see the positive trend these past weeks after the poor start.

    • Good write up OP..... I may be the outlier here but I like our WR sans XL. Metchie is sneaky good and just like Dowdle last year he WILL BE the biggest under the radar singing of this year FA moves. I am warming up to the idea of Sadiq at 19 over defense. I'm just ready for every BY excuse to be gone, he doesn't have this or that. No he just sucks and we need to move on. Honestly I've said it before but this team has been depleted of so much talent over the years we really could go BPA and be fine. In DM I trust..........for now
    • Like I said darnold is making people into morons.   For every 1 darnold there are 125 kenny Picketts
    • He's not Cam brother. Disrespectful to Cam at this point to keep mentioning them together. That's just my opinion. We all agree we need the young guys to step up. They have to varying degrees. But they're still learning. Especially the rookies. Guys like Miller and Moose need to take another step and we hope they will get there. Both need to add some bulk in the offseason. Kalk too. We can give them a little grace though. We extended the same courtesy to LaMelo in his earlier years. Many excuses were afforded to him. I agree completely that we need to see both offensive evolution and development under Lee. I feel like the team in some aspects has taken a step back at times under his watch. That can't continue. I hope it all comes together. We'll see. But that clock is ticking and there should be NO excuses after this upcoming season. No more embarrassment please.
