One, we had a very good offensive line. What sense would it make to abandon them? It would make way more sense to change the scheme.

Second, Reich came in saying his plan was to fit the scheme to the personnel. When coaches are saying that, why would you expect to have to swap personnel?

We already changed the scheme when Frank got here. If you look at what he's run his entire career it's everything this line is not built to do. This shouldn't be a surprise.

Understood, though his statement was that he planned to tool the schemes to fit the players (an idea that made perfect sense).

He didn't live up to that...at all. And I really don't know why.

This staff has been super quiet.. compared to when they first assembled.. dissolved into crap no one stepping out.. ducking heads for what I see!!  Embarrassing for dollars given to these guys

He’s a yes man!! I thought he was a great hire at first!! But we all know as Panthers fans his legacy

Frank was fired from SD and Indy for this same stale poo.

He only knows one offensive scheme, and it’s from 2005. He took the best offensive line in football and regressed it to 18th in one year.

Tepper’s issue is he doesn’t have the experience to look at a coach’s body of work and see the red flag.

With Frank, the red flags should have been screaming.

I think it set in during the preseason. Fitt tried to curb expectations right before the season if you remember.

Maybe Frank doesn’t know how. Like a lot of coaches, he’s a great leader but a terrible X’s and O’s guy. He knows one way and that’s it. Can’t adapt.

That's the story. Frank's incredibly likable and the type of coach you respect (unlike Rhule). However, he's just not a fit for the modern NFL at all.

If Steve Clifford played for the '88-89 Hornets, he'd 100% be Basketball Reich. As it is, they're still two peas in a pod: good leader, good guy, not cut out for coaching the modern game due to a refusal or inability to adapt.
