The nature of a screen pass is a boom or bust play. It doesn’t make sense to call that in this situation.

Call a pass play in shotgun (with no play fake) let the WRs run their routes and let Bryce scramble as a last resort.

It’s laughable people still think he can be a franchise QB. He will end up out of the league in 5 years tops. He’s not backup material.

Relax dude, take a breath. I've been a Panthers fan since I was a young boy. As I've gotten older, I've realized that it's ok to have fun watching other teams, even cheering for them to win. There's more to life than blindly defending a team that literally has no idea who you are. You don't need to scream about it on a forum, it won't help you feel better.

Yeah, we needed 6 yards. Throw the ball at least 6 yards forward. Games over even if it is intercepted, but at least give your team a chance. That screen had no chance.

      You are right. At the same time I don’t think people are watching games going come on Bryce put it on the ground or sail it OB or whatever. They just have trouble seeing him turning his 3 or four or five top games of 2025 into the weekly standard outing. Which you expect for the kind of money he will ask for (speaking for myself anyway).

      In terms of comparing Pickett and Young's arm talent it's basically a push at best. Pickett is sitting at 6.2 yards per pass attempt for his career while Bryce sits at 6.0 Last season Bryce was 6.3 in yards per pass attempt. Only Justin Fields Spencer Rattler (both 6.2) Kyler Murray (6.0) 41 year old Joe Flacco (6.0) 44 year old Phillip Rivers (5.9) rookie Cam Ward (5.9) and Tyrod Taylor (5.8) had less pass yards per attempt than Bryce Young in his third season as a starter. Folks going around acting as if it is beyond the pale to say Pickett might have a better arm than Young are living in an alternate reality. You can choose to not believe your own eyes after 46 games but everyone else will acknowledge reality and move forward accordingly.
