Only because I think we can get him at 39

If you've got 5 WRs you want to take at 33 and then you've got one specific guy like Payton that you're hoping or feel like he should be there at 39...you take Payton at 33 and pick your best WR at 39.

Bubbas dream draft

33 Cooper DeJean Cb

39 Ladd McConkey Wr

3rd  Ricky Pearsal Wr

4th Will Shipley RB

5th Tommy Eichenburgh Lb

5th Beau Limmer C

7th Sam Hartman  QB

Do you see the the theme? Lol. That would be a first in the modern draft era. Doesn't even look that bad.

I maybe done, this one is dream land via trades..... I ran out of players I knew after 209 Johnson.

even after all that I still feel panthers have plenty of holes. Travis was not planned or targeted, just after those dumb trades I knew I had to at least pick a late upside QB.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
