only difference was Delhomme had significantly more talent around him.

if the question is Bulger or Delhomme.....Bulger. However, I prefer someone else to compete w/ Moore though than either of those two.

Seriously? Bulger had alot of talent around him when he first started. Now he doesnt and it shows.

Jake had a dang good OL, best backfield in the NFL, and a stud WR who can make things happen for you.........give Bulger ALL THAT....and he will be better than post Tommy John Jake imo. That ain't a ringing endorsement for Bulger though. I wouldn't want either competing w/ Moore.

A while back, I'd have taken Bulger as a vet backup. Now? Not so likely.

Truthfully, if I had my choice of backups next season, I'd go with Josh McCown.

Given the circumstances though, it'll most likely be Delhomme. And that's not necessarily a bad thing. There are positives that Delhomme can help pass along to Moore (work ethic, study habits, other intangibles). All the proper "coaching" would still be done by Rip Scherer.

Delhomme would be a great backup here if Fox wasn't on the sideline......there is no doubt Fox wants Jake to start and that Fox doesn't care much for Moore at this point. First I seriously, doubt Moore can beat Jake in a competition judged by Fox.....2nd, the odds are too high Fox puts Jake back in with a single legitimately bad game by Moore in one game.

I can handle Fox or I can handle Jake....that combo however, imo will prove to cost us one more season.

I heard that St. Louis was going to release him. I have always had a lot of respect for this guy and his talents on the field. He will be able to be got pretty cheap and I feel he could beat out Moore pretty easily, what do u guys think?

LOL, No.

No more Golden Age QB's please, just stick with Matt.
