Tim has good takes and seems to be the best local radio guy in NC.

I’m fine with 15 million… for a 1 year contract. Progress or bust. Tepper paying these coaches far above average for multi year contracts has got to stop. Not only from a fans perspective but from an organizational perspective. We all make fun of Tepper for it. But at the end of the day. It’s basically our worth at this point as a team.

At look at it as I mentioned above. 1 year. Show us what you got. It’s a throw away years anyways. He loses, on to the next guy, he wins? Great! Who did fug cares if Tepper has to pay HIS pocket change out his ass and fug with the “natural order of the NFL”. It’s a win either way.

Then you risk him walking after leading the team to a winning season for a better and/or higher paying gig

Sorry wanted to quote your linked post with the rest of my thought above/below. I agree… but if he wins he’s not going to leave “his” team and he knows Tepper is going to load him up. If he loses and walks. Videos point stands correct.

Not that I even want him. We need a solid DC as HC and a mastermind young guy as OC. But im pretty sure Tepper listened to the whiny huddle crowd on coaching choices…

I will say the guy in the video makes excellent points… but Tepper was already bit in the ass by two guys saying exactly what he’s saying. We need a legit coach, that says, you want to play here, your skill, ability and work ethic shows it or you are out. Even luvu and young. I hate to put it like this, but we need a proper dick at coach(ya I watched too much South Park today). Not some wanna be flaccid asshole dick like Rhule or nice guy dick like Reich who realized how poo the organization was after the fact. But a proper business first, win first, your ass is grass coach.

No, he's not, but Tepper has a hard-on for Ben Johnson.

I've seen enough of "the next big thing" from the coaching ranks.  He needs to actually do something before demanding big money. I wouldn't pay him, but I'm not Tepper.

And if he's trying to get us to pay a Tepper tax, that's double the reason to tell him to go fug himself.

That’s the thing I agree with, choaching > money. Everything else the guy in the video said is literally what Tepper has been trying to sell us since he gained ownership. We don’t need that. We need someone that tells Tepper he’s not making any decisions besides major player-SIDE decisions(IE: contract negotiation, you know, at the end of the day an owner signs all contracts. I think player connection is the one thing Tepper has going for him).

“You can fire me but until than it’s my show” “you get no decisions besides money.”

He's 100% wrong

Now, in most coaching hire situations, he wouldn't be wrong, you want someone who is all in like he describes.

But we're not in a normal coaching hire situation, we're in a situation where no high end candidates should/would be interested in our job.

He's already proven by turning down HC opportunities last year because he felt he wasn't ready, that he cares more about winning and being a successful HC than just a huge a paycheck.  So it's not like he's going to come here for that big pay day and then just mail it in.

I want the best HC possible, not the best HC possible amongst the guys who REALLY want to be here, because the ones who REALLY want to be here given our situation, won't be amongst the best HC options out there.

So if it takes overpaying someone to be interested, I'm fine with that, as long as it's a Ben Johnson type.  Someone young and likely looking at a long HC career.  If they're willing to risk that career on coming to this disaster of a situation and bet on Bryce, then I'm okay with them wanting stupid money to take the job, since they're still betting the rest of their career on it.

I'm starting to not like Ben Johnson as the hire.  If he really wanted the job, he would have taken it last year and now he's throwing around a big number for a contract.  I believe he did leak this number and his agent is denying this to save face.
