Add this to the kick in the balls that is the Panthers. Secured them the first pick. Thanks to our GM and owner.

They couldn't have fugged the franchise and fans anymore then they have. Who would want to come to this team unless the money was so good that it was an offer they couldn't refuse.

Marvin Harrison jr. will be playing in the windy city no doubt, unless they pick a QB (doubtfull).

We have gotten the sh%t end of the stick as usual. Good job front office and anyone else involved in these sh%t decisions. Trade away the farm for what?

POS franchise...from top to bottom

Just thinking back to all the crap some of us took for saying hold at 9  or trade back.

The mantra was "we have to do something now." Well there ya go,enjoy watching our QB getting drafted this draft.

Listen, just understand we would have picked the wrong guy in this draft too.

This really should be a lesson to not run your franchise in this manner. You Don't trade away picks when you're a bad team or a rebuilding team

The fact that fitterer has basically treated this team like the panthers have been a perennial super bowl contenders is a serious indictment on his ability to be a competent gm. Trading picks away for darnold, trading for cj Henderson, laviska shenault. Trading the farm for a 5 foot 10 qb with no discernable elite qb traits other than how smart he was???

Fitterer needs to be canned on Tuesday morning. Firing Reich was only a tiny step on the path to improving this franchise. Firing Fitterer would be a gigantic leap.

And letting whatever gm you hire hire the coach and leaving them the fug alone to do their jobs? Would catapult us the most imo. Idk if we can expect tepper to do that.

The only silver lining now is once we bite the bullet in april 2024, we're mostly done draft capital wise with the fallout from that trade up. I believe after 2024 it's just that 2025 2nd rounder and that poo is over with.

As bad as it hurt trading away dj Moore, could you imagine if we had done what the 49ers had done and traded 2 future firsts. That would've really stung. We might have given the bears 2 first overall picks in a row.

What a massive kick in the nuts. A year after you trade a haul to get the #1 pick you end up having given a #1 pick as just a part of that haul. Oh wee mayne.

Scott was right, we won’t have a top 10 pick this year. fuging dolt.

The worst part is that the race wasn’t even close. We got the top pick by 2 games. We’ve gotten super unlucky the past 4-5 years having high picks but being one loss away from jumping up a couple/few/several picks like missing out of SF’s Trey Lance bounty by beating Dwayne Haskins the game before his release. Now, miracle of miracles we actually get the top pick easily when we are a poo team and we’ve traded it away. SMH.

All I know is that I will not watch a game next year if Fitterer isn’t gone.

All we can do now is hope the Bears screw it up royally so it won’t go down as the worst trade in history.

Absolutely possible they screw it up. Not sure what they will do with the pick. I would stay at 1 and draft Williams or Maye. As much as the experts predict how good a player will be in the NFL, it is just another lottery ticket.

Trading up wasn’t bad. You just can’t miss on that pick. Stroud or AR should have been the pick

and we gave them our #1 WR...lol

Fitterer gutted this team in 3 years. Truly and utterly gutted the talent. I miss the Rhule Panthers compared to the poo team we are now.

As pointed out, again, above, the team Rhule started with was considered a rebuilding team after Cam, TD, Olsen, Luke, Bradberry and others were gone. I recall ESPN having us #32 in terms of coaching and starting lineup changes and we weren’t close to #31. Fitterer said he thought this team was better at all but two spots than the 2022 team and he had traded away basically 2 full drafts for Young, Darnold, Mayfield, Henderson, Corral and Johnson. We did exactly the opposite of every rebuilding team and now we are the worst team in the league and don’t have the #1 overall pick and don’t have pick 33 to 36 in 2025.

Sucks being a fan right now because there is almost nothing positive going on and I don’t see how 2024 is any better than this year unless we miraculously have a draft like the Rams just did with no first with a new GM and his forbid a good coaching staff.

    • I get it's subjective and I said "PFF rated him as" one of the top deep ball passers during that time, which is an accurate statement.  They are still a group of professionals that look at film and data in order to make their judgements/ratings.  These people whose data has been incorporated into a lot of teams' staffs view Bryce's deep throws as some of the best in the league during that stretch.  That tells me that he can probably throw a deep pass vs the Huddle's version of he is small and didn't do it his rookie year so he must not be able to.  That and literally seeing him do it just makes me feel he is more than capable of doing so.   Do you think PFF is skewing their opinion to prop up a QB in a bottom tier franchise?  It's just another group's opinion and I feel is pretty respected around the league currently.  It's not the gospel truth or anything.
    • I still remember how happy I was that gettlegut was not the GM once he picked Jones, that was a firing pick and well..... If not for the raiders drafting Clelin Ferrell, it was the biggest draft day mistake in the last 20 some years.
    • He had 251 passing yards. 3 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns. All in all a very impressive game. Problem is I do not envision his rushing ability translating like that over the course of the upcoming season. Yeah it will be something to account for from time to time but one it's not sustainable and two you don't want to put his durability to the ultimate test against a motivated defender willing to take a penalty and a fine. And plus with our backfield. Two 1k yard rushers. That's what they're here for. Then we have a much improved WR room. That means Bryce has to elevate those passing numbers substantially. The fact of the matter is regardless of circumstances it did take him 23 games to surpass Kyle Allen's single season passing yardage from 13 games in 2020. And that is not a high bar by any means. Whatever QB tier Bryce ends up in from here amongst his peers this upcoming season when it's all said and done it will be with his arm.
