Is Carolina where QBs go to die?

Mayfield

Darnold

All looking like they can actually play

Bryce would have probably broken rookie records if he played for Shannahan.

Yes we should have picked Stroud but he would have probably looked like dog poo on this team

There’s some kind of a Jets like QB curse on this franchise

We’re doomed with Tepper

I'm not honestly getting too excited about either of those QBs right now, but yes, our offense blows and makes a lot of people look worse.

Edit: worth noting Darnold has a couple of fine games here too. Just give him time

His problem is 100% consistency. He has the tools, just can't use them reliably

Speaking of junk what happened to your boy Sam Howell?

Haven't watched their last several games but he wasn't playing with any confidence. Didn't recognize him.

I did see enough to say that Bieniemy will probably never be an OC again unless he goes back to Reid to be a title holder who doesn't actually perform the duties of the position. He's trash.

I think that ship has sailed too wouldn't take him back.

Bienemy has called some nice plays today. Howell has missed badly. He looks like a backup.

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
