Commanders want Ben Johnson

It seems like a reasonable bet to assume we’re landing Macdonald, Frank Smith, Callahan, or Canales. Just feels like that’s the realistic pool.

I just don’t see Quinn or Monken happening.

Johnson is a long shot.

Harbaugh and BB aren’t coming here.

Don’t think Vrabel will happen.

Absolutely and honestly I'd be more excited with one of these 4 than if Tepper tried to make a "splash" and hired Belichick, Vrabel or Harbaugh

Although Ben Johnson would be a home run hire he has better options at the moment

Why would anyone choose the redskins (or any other situation) over here?

Aside from money (which we've learned doesn't help much) what reason is there?

Roster wise, they're in a similar spot to us, cap space for both teams should be well over 60 mil when it comes time for FA.

They just dumped their 2 best pass rushers.  Payne & Curl are probably their best defensive assets.  Terry is their best on offense.  There's nothing special at TE, RB, DB, LB.  Leno and Gates are average at best OL.  Cosmi is still figuring it out.  Forbes looked bad as a rookie.

What I see favorable is ownership and positioning for a franchise QB.  Bryce has a mixed perception around the league after 2023, so I don't think every coach we're hiring is necessarily bought in on him.  WFT can grab Daniels, Maye or Caleb.

Adam Petters bowed out of our GM race when they hired Fritters. Many thought he wouldn't leave the 49ers. Having a quality GM that won't walk into a bad position up front along with all that is listed above makes it a better spot. DC was able to snag a highly regarded GM already while Tepper is asking if he can ask to interview HCs with no GM yet...

Who knows what else is part of the bag right now the Panthers are asking of people. Sure looks like Tepper is trying to push off a large part of last year's wonder crew on the new people. That alone seems like a tough sell for people with options.

What does it say for the organization he's running that the team that just went 2-15 has two coaches on it's staff that are being considered as head coach candidates elsewhere? I mean, that's absolutely unheard of.

Both request were lateral moves so not as HCs that were blocked. Evero and Tabor are getting HC interviews too? LOL. IDK but I would love to see it if Tepper's master plan is to just drop a HC in along with a RB and QB coaches with last year's people.

The Tabor interview was for their ST position.

He bowed out when he realised the GM was just going to be Rhule's bag boy.

He’s keeping them here because they are good coordinators but if the new coach wants to dismiss them so be it but I’m gonna hold onto them in case they want them. It’s a sign that the head coach and offense were the problem.

    • Good, our ST is almost as bad as our ILB depth!
    • With two starters on expiring contracts (Moton + Corbett) as well as a few back-ups (Christensen, Mays, and Nijman), the Panthers are likely going to have to reinvest in the OL after this coming season. Icky's fifth-year option was picked up by the team this offseason while Lewis and Hunt both remain under contract then (though Lewis' deal is set-up in a way that would let Carolina move on from him then as well). I think that the team is going to be looking at investing a premium pick at RT should Bryce's development continue, and might even look to double dip at the position in order to have a swing tackle that can also kick inside when needed. There's also the question of starting center... Prospects I'm watching this upcoming college season... Centers Jake Slaughter (Florida) Iapani Laloulu (Oregon) Connor Lew (Auburn) Logan Jones (Iowa) Parker Brailsford (Alabama) Connor Tollison (Missouri) Bryce Foster (Kentucky) Pat Coogan Notre Dame) Raheem Anderson (Michigan) Carson Hinzman (Ohio State) RTs Francis Mauigoa (Miami) Kadyn Proctor (Alabama) Spencer Fano (Utah) Gennings Dunker (Iowa) Blake Miller (Clemson) Isaiah World (Oregon) Caleb Tiernan (Northwestern) Monroe Feeling (Georgia) Earnest Greene III (Georgia) Monroe Mills (Louisville) Charles Jagusah (Notre Dame) Tree Babalade (South Carolina) Trey Zuhn III (Texas A&M) Nolan Rucci (Penn State) Tristan Leigh (Clemson) Fernando Carmona (Arkansas) JC Davis (Illinois) Riley Mahlman (Wisconsin) PJ Williams (SMU) Tosh Baker (Notre Dame) Aki Ogunbiyi (Texas A&M) Courtland Ford (Kentucky) Ethan Onianwa (Rice)
    • I watched documentary on the 2010 Auburn season and Cam wasn’t included in that either. I think he just doesn’t care for these things
