Sadly our fanbase mostly consists of Fairweather wine and cheese bandwagoneer losers who just don't get it 

 

 

I guarantee there would be tears from some of these tough guys on here if Cam had won it all and held the trophy up high.

Thanks for proving your point though. Hopefully the Panthers and Tepper feel passionate about you the fan to put a better product on the field.

 

On that note I'm done for tonight. It's been a hell of a weekend. Hope everyone enjoyed the 1st week of playoff football.

I’m not a person who is passionate enough to cry about football. I am also of the age that I realize that this is just a game that has no real bearing on my life, other than the emotional ups (not really anymore) and downs of a game. However, I am not going to poke fun at someone who is passionate and out their team winning or losing. 

As much as your family circumstances give you the perspective of knowing there is far more than football, we have no idea about that guy’s life circumstances. Maybe he had an absentee father and turned to the Lions for enjoyment. Maybe he attended and watched Lions games with his grandfather and wanted nothing more than to share in a Lions playoff victory but his grandfather didn’t live long enough to see this game. Whatever it is, I’m not going to put that guy down. 

As far as my statement, I’m just pointing out the juxtaposition of you essentially saying, “I’m not passionate enough to cry about football because life,” while you, at the same time, take every opportunity to passionately put down the players on the team of which you profess to be a fan.

I remember my high school football team losing the first game of my sophomore season. I was bummed, but a little ways away from me in the locker room there was a junior friend of mine bawling.

He'd played in that game, and played his heart out. I hadn't because it was my first year. We had different perspectives, but he was somebody that I liked and respected outside of football anyway.

People are just different...

Probably no better feeling than to be a lions or texans fan right now.

NBC had a story pregame about a lady whose dad had been a Lions fan all his life but passed away before he had the chance to see them make it to the playoffs this year.

She went to the game with his personalized Lion's jersey and his ashes as a memorial sort of thing.

Thought that was pretty cool...

It wasn't an accident that I compared us to that 1999-2017 Browns era. Tons of similarities.

TBH, I forsee about the same thing happening. Around 20ish years of being the butt of a lot of league jokes.

The season is complete...................and the greatest on record for me of the last 10 years.

See America's team getting bitch slapped out of the playoffs like that is my super bowl.

Jerry Jones turned a great franchise into the most hated team in America.............and for me I'm afraid Tepper will do the same for the Panthers.

As long as Tepper owns the Panthers I will root for them to lose every game..........or else get as good in the regular season as possible and get blown out in the playoffs like Dallas just did.  

....and along the way laugh my ass off at Tepper like I do with Jones when they show the press box after their egos get handed to them on a tray of pickled crows feet.
