Vrabel interviewing with carolina Thursday

Thats definitely someone who will come in and create a culture, and hold players accountable. My only concern is the offensive side of the ball. Maybe Arthur Smith comes with him? He probably wont be in line for any HC gigs anytime soon, so maybe he would stay for awhile.

For all I know this is a token Sportsology interview.  Proof is in the pudding and Tepper to date has shown no indication of being a net positive owner.  He is still front and center and it certainly looks like he enjoys stacking all decisions in his favor.  I would glad to be wrong.

Vrabel IMO is the best hire out there.

I'm not saying he hasn't been a terrible owner.

I'm just saying I think he's self reflective.  Maybe his own tendencies will fail him in the end.  But I do think he's making an effort to fix it.

And Vrabel is too accomplished to just give a token interview IMO.  He wouldn't waste his own time if he wasn't open to it.  This isn't a zoom like the others.

I think he is self reflective, I just don't think he is NFL smart.  I think his self reflection to date has just caused him to do 180s and overcorrect.   And even if he did stumble across someone good, not sure he could endure the growing pains to see the fruits of it.

Who knows.  Can only guess.  Vrabel also is set to interview in Atlanta before us. Which is a better job.   Sometimes these very public scheduled interviews aren't always about that job...and it can be about adding pressure elsewhere that someone else might get you.

Atlanta has interviewed almost every candidate out there.  I have absolutely no clue which direction they are going to go.  I thought Bill B was a sure thing and now I'd guess that's a long shot?

I'll still be happy with Canales.  but I'm just happy we are turning over every stone.

For the record, I wanted Harbaugh or Ben Johnson as my ideal guy.     Harbaugh is a lost cause but Johnson could still be an option.  Washington appears intrigued with others as well.

He is now my #1 HC candidate. This team is soft and doesn’t know how to win. They need a complete culture change. Vrabel would establish a tough no nonsense team and establish an identity. There is no way he puts up with meddling owner. I think he and Morgan could be a promising team.

Just a strange coincidence that we wanted to be in Rooney Rule compliance before he’s in the building tomorrow?

Indeed it is. I figured if we don't make a hire today that they were setting themselves up for a swift hire down the line.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
