So who’s your ‘Dawgs’ on this team?

Not many on the roster, at least not last year. We had many more players playing like dawgs under Wilkes. Perhaps a coach who connects with players and motivates can bring that out in them.

Brown is clearly a ‘dawg’, ‘the dawg’ on that defense.  I didn’t know if you were suggesting that Luvu doesn’t rise to that category or were just focusing on Brown as heads and shoulders above everyone else.

I was focusing more on Brown. Luvu should be retained because he has a bit of that dog in him as well.  I would hope Dan sees it the same way.

Dollars to donuts luvu walks.

I'm afraid you may be right.  I'm terrified they will give Burns a massive contract. If that happens its over until that contract is off the books. It would be a classic Hurney move.

Bryce is a dawg if you ask me.

Sometimes I wish that he would've went away from what the coaches were asking him to do (like chuck it up there on 3rd and long instead of screens.)

With that said, Bryce absolutely has it in him, he's a pretty polite one. But the way he mentally stayed even keel, and took hits each week. He's earned that if nothing else.

Hell anyone who can get sacked 62 times at 190 pounds and keep getting up… kid needs to keep getting better elsewhere, but he’s got grit for sure
