My wife started watching the games with me at the start of the 2015 season. What a fun season to introduce her, though.

Meanwhile, I've been a fan since year 1 and the first year that I was able to watch all the games was 2001, which feels fitting. We started off 1-0, though 🙌

Yep it's always an easier sell when they're winning.  Watching games with somebody who's completely uninitiated can be fun too.  I watched that 2015 Thanksgiving game with some family who doesn't pay any attention to sports, and one of my favorite quotes from the night was "why does he (meaning Tony Romo) keep throwing the ball to the Panthers?"

Speaking of 2001, that season was my first in-person game.  I think we lost 21-20 against the Jets and I still have the ticket stub:

I wasn't my first game (that was 1998 on my birthday), but the 2001 season was when I started to attend the games regularly.  Why?  Tickets were so darn cheap...especially later in the year!  For a broke college student at the time, I could afford $20 tickets.  Street vendors about 5 minutes after kickoff would nearly give tickets away.  Ah, the good old days of physical tickets.

KC wins, he proposes.

KC loses, she breaks up with him and debuts her new song while the Lombardi is being handed out.

I hate to break it to you but their relationship is not real. They both using each other to boost their brand.

I will be shocked if they are still together next season.

Starting the poo party early I see better hope the cheifs win or I'm gonna respond to all your posts for the next year with Purdy lifting the Lombardi

You do realize I'm rooting for the 49ers right?

Purdy is a game manager. As Cam said there is nothing wrong with being a game manager.

    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
