Yikes. So it goes from consensus pick!! Everyone wanted him!! best by a long shot!!  to… a piece saying the OWNERS of the team (yes, when it says Nicole, it also means Dave as well) didn’t want him.

So Reich obviously didn’t want him and the owners didn’t want him. If this is the case, who the hell was running this roster? Was Fitt really given that much power?

Bet Young feels great right about now.  But baby, you hugged me? lol. What a show. The off-season hasn’t even been really started and the combo save face/hit pieces are already dropping.

This literally makes no sense and is as big of a stretch as my pants after thanksgiving.

Really makes me think that Scott Fitterer and his team really rang the bell for Bryce.

I could see Tepper taking him on it last year, especially with it being Fitterer’s “first year” managing the roster.

Hell didn’t somebody even write about how he compared him to Russell Wilson or something pre-draft.

It seems the Panther's are doing everything they can to put all the blame on Fitts. Who really knows who's responsible but its a little fishy for sure.

It shows two things:

1) She is not part of the core decision makers group

2) She was right the whole time

Both go against everything a core group on this board has complained about for a long time, often using very misogynistic tones. So maybe think a bit before next time.

Yeah, smells of "last guy sucked, this mess was his, don't blame me".

Seen this in workplaces far too often.

I’m not sure that narrative works. He said they were busting Tepper’s balls because he wife was a Stroud person. That implies Dave liked Young IMO.

He also looks foolish if it appears his wife is making our picks. I don't care who makes the decisions as long as they are the right ones to be honest.

It is convenient that "the guy that just got fired" seems to take all the blame though. Over and over again yet the team still sucks.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
