One of the only good things about having a sh*t roster is that you wont miss any player.  You could assemble a roster of senior citizens and be the worst team in the NFL.

I love what our coach and GM are doing vs what that last 2 Regimes have done. Clearing out all the problems vs adding to them. The last 2 just piled poo on poo and hoped it would fix things. These guys are actually getting rid of bad contracts and ripping up crap players. I all wash said they should have gutted this thing and started over like our 95 upstart team.   I’m a fan of Dan and Dave so far.

This is what new CEO’s and boards generally do… clean house, take all your losses up front, which is usually blamed on the previous regime.  You only get one ‘honeymoon” period.  From that point on, it’s all on the new regime.

I would think releasing them early gives them chance to sign with someone else, helping your chances for comp picks?
