QB power rankings

He's terrible until he proves that he's different.

We're the worst team in the league until we prove otherwise.

Same story, just a different year. It's up to the 53 guys on the team, the coaches, management and ownership to change that and it is going to take a lot of work to pull us out of the ditch they've driven us into over the last five years.

The guy should have never been picked where he was. Period. It isn’t his fault, I understand that. And he is a good kid, they say.

If he had been a 4th round flyer I’d be rooting for him hard. But he would never just be handed the starting job, unchallenged. I want fair competition.

I would actually put the top 25 NCAA QBs above him, and there is probably some high school QBs with better arms

I would rank him around 1789 , should be carrying Gatorade to the real players during timeouts

Some of us already knew bryces only leverage was the fact that he was a rookie and the first pick last year. Once the new crop of qbs came in he would quickly become a afterthought and all the media hype and support would disappear especially since he had a bad season. It wasn't hard to forsee. Nobody on that list has more of a uphill battle than he does and who even knows how much that's actually gonna be worth.

I’m not saying Bryce should be high, but putting multiple rookies ahead of him, including a guy like Bo Nix is insanely stupid.

Agree. He should definitely be the lowest of NFL starters, but to put rookies above him (except maybe Williams) is just crazy.

I just wish he took all this and made it bulletin board material. Then again, he's not that type of dude. He's more of a "run my own race" type rather than "destroy you for a slight against me" type.

He's a great fit for that system. He may not have all the talent of the others, but he also doesn't fold under pressure like many of them have.

It’s a trip watching 49ers game because all Purdy does is make great reads and great throws with very little fanfare about it.

    • I sold mine when Tepper installed those soccer seats in the end zone using the Marketplace. I retired and couldn't afford the season ticket price any more. Got back what I initially paid for them in 1995. From the email I got, my guess is a family who had end zone PSL's used the $ they got to give up their seats to buy mine. Don't give up @Waldo. The upgrades coming could do the same for you.
    • Don’t get me wrong, I love Koochie. I think he could be a star. But I’m not convinced Rod trusts him. And I realize my post was confusing. I meant based on the reports of swapping Necas for Ullmark or another goalie. If we’re going to trade for a goalie I would rather use draft picks instead of lowering the value of Necas.
    • You can make a decent case that most of the starters are at-least average. But depth-wise, its awful, maybe the worst in the NFL.  The only reason they could be a playoff team, is the awful NFC south and its collection of bad QBs and coaching staffs. That changed big time when cousins and Morris arrived to ATL. Now it would take a setback to cousins, in which he currently ready to play given all the stem cells and peptides stuff he has.  In past years there was always some elite talent leftd on the 7 win rosters. Like many know theres just dbrown and a huge ? in horn. If hunt was elite, phins would have tagged him. There's no Thomas Davis, Luke, Cam, Olsen, peppers, kalil, beason, gross, Jenkins, Smitty etc on the team. Brown is great and all, but sacks and pressure wise, he's not game changing. Panthers lack difference makers, young ones. You could make a weak case for clowney, but that ravens D is stacked.  Us fans just need to hope Dan Morgan can collect more young difference maker in the next 2-3 years. If Bryce isn't that guy, 4 years before this team can sniff the playoffs.  Honestly the panthers are due some luck as well.
