Bryce Young #34 on Chris Simms' top 40 list

It's honestly too high. Looking at some of the lower options I think they would win more games with some of those guys in a run first O.

Simms has never been as high on Bryce as others, and he's completely accurate with all his analysis in this video. I really enjoy Simms content and he at least speaks his mind a little more than others who feel like they have to hedge everything so they don't get flamed. Who cares if you're wrong, everyone is.

I think it needs to be put in perspective that all these analysts putting out these takes on Bryce is based off the fact that a lot of them finally got to sit down and watch all the tape from every game last season. Based off most of their reactions they didn't like what they saw. My thing is if they saw it then you gotta think the new staff saw it too. Im just very interested to see where this goes this season.

Nice callback! Back when the Panthers were trying to kill motherfugers!

Hardy and dem was some killers for hire! They used to beat the dog ish out of Brees! I loved it. Imagine if he was still on the team in 2015 team.

Oh crap forget the stuff below, I missed that is from  ’23.

I looked again after I posted and saw Mac Jones at 20?

He is right there at 28

And that’s pretty damned funny. Send Bryce a link.

Well he did move Bryce up from 38 to 34 this year..I suppose his next tier of 25-30 will be out in a day or two

    • In last 25 years I’d say the 2001 Panthers were 1-15 & went to Super Bowl 38 in 2003. Drafted Dan Morgan, Kris Jenkins and Steve Smith in ‘01…already had Moose, Minter and Rucker.  ‘02 drafted Peppers Deshaun Foster. Picked up Stephen Davis Ricky Proehl and Jake Delhomme in the following ‘03 offseason while drafting Jordan Gross & Ricky Manning Jr.  John Fox was a solid coaching hire for the era prior to defensive rule changes. Saying I’ve seen it happen, also acknowledging how much has to go right for that to occur.  Highly unlikely scenario but possible.
    • Agree it was a bad loss, but there were only 45 states the last time that defense gave up that many to Vandy. 35 points has been enough to beat them for almost 120 years. That said I'm now focused on how he responds on the field. He's said all the right things, but now I need to see that he won't go into the fetal position with his play--both in his will and the coach's trust in him. He turned the ball over on the ground and through the air and his pick six was literally the difference between a win and loss.  If he goes back to beast mode, then all is good and he's still a 1st rounder. If he wills them back to the playoff, he's probably in the top 10-15. If they win the title, the bigger question will be if Tep has the onions to take another Bama QB at #1.
    • Go right ahead, but there's a better way to be that doesn't add to the hostility in the world.
