Adam Thielen: We probably have NFL’s worst facilities, I don’t think anybody would argue that

Recommended Posts

Adam Thielen noted that Carolina’s practice facility — which is still housed at the stadium after plans for a separate facility at Rock Hill, S.C. were scrapped — needs to be updated.

“I think they’re behind a little bit as far as facilities,” Thielen told Alex Zietlow of the Charlotte Observer. “We probably have the worst facilities in the NFL right now, and I don’t think there is anybody who would argue that. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. You gotta go play football, and you gotta go win games.

Thankfully, unlike the NBA, it doesn't matter as much to players, they only care about most guaranteed money with a little bit of playing time/fit mixed in. But Kansas City has to be below Carolina, Washington too. Their stadiums are complete dumps

Facilities and not the stadium.  Players care more about the training facilities than the stadium because this is where they spend their time.  They are only in the stadium 12 or so days a year.

This is why i have never held it against the Tepper for trying to progress something like this. The panthers are just way behind everybody else. It took tepper coming just to get a practice bubble so they wouldnt have to be in a ball room during bad weather. Im still disappointed about the rock hill facility not working out because that would have been very cool for the team and the fans. It makes no sense they still dont have a practice facility.

I’ve sourced those pull blocks and those are the cheapest fuging thing you can buy. They literally disintegrate. Also you shouldn’t be using those for shrugs or rows BUT I DIGRESS

those are eleiko plates. Those are the nicest plates in the world. Why do you buy play dough pull blocks

He’s prob not wrong but Adam gets on my nerves for some reason. He has made a few off the wall comments in his short time here and I’m not sure what the purpose of saying this was. He’s not going to be here after this season and has only been on one team, so what’s the point of calling ours the worst? We may be, but STFU and get ready to lead us to 4 wins this season. I miss old school football players, I mean the guy is getting paid millions and should be thankful he’s on is team at his age.

    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
    • Dude he didnt play in pre season.....  he didnt practice at all with the team until the end of October.    I do agree though.
    • Bryce had a hand in the Miami win but not nearly as large of one as Rico and he also had the extra burden of being a big reason we were in the hole in the first place. If we get a winning season he is definitely back for next year though.
