Brooks for sure is no J Stew and that is what we are lacking still, a guy that will move a pile enough to get that tough yard. But if he can hold onto the ball, hit the holes they give him it should work okay and if he can add a receiving threat into the equation, that could be a really good thing.

I don't disagree but I think having a good line is more important than having a bruiser.  The Eagles line made Jalen Hurts the most dangerous 1 yard runner in the league.  He's strong for a QB but come on.  That's all the line.

I think Chubba can move the pile, but I’m not saying he’s J Stew level.

I’m a Stew truther who thought he should have been 1 and Deangelo 2 the whole time.

Perhaps injury is the only reason he wasn’t. Dude was different and gifted.

Other than the "not a deep ball" dude, the Bryce haters are MIA today. Must be at the beach.

Naw, looked like 9 had a good first day in pads practice.

I Am at the beach. There is no real point in getting on things right now if someone has a crappy day. Maybe except Icky or something, that would bother me.

Or riding their jock if they have a good one.

The truth shows up when the pace of play picks up and the contact is for real. I’m waiting to see that.

Both D Will and Stew were top 5 RB talents in their day.

I can only imagine that you had this exact post one year ago as well.  lets wait until they actually play someone before you try and dunk on folks

    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.
    • 13. Carolina is coming. The Panthers are well thought of around the league. Their "process" seems sound. I think their off-season will be very interesting to keep an eye on. They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
    • Because this DL is completely reliant on Brown being available and being a stud. Without him we were the worst D in history. The Wharton signing last year reeked of desperation. He just isn't a great fit for us schematically and I think we panicked a little bit when we missed out on Milton Williams who would have been a great fit.
