Nah, it's a huge win. This Duke team has less talent than the previous two that lost to UNC. A rivalry win is a big deal when it hasn't happened in six years, and when you overcame a 20-0 deficit to make it happen. Not saying Duke's more than a lower-level bowl team, but starting 5-0 and winning your rivalry game is an accomplishment. I left a party with them down 20-7 thinking, "well, at least they didn't get shut out," and my FIL hit me up with, "well, UNC blew it," and I thought he was kidding.

No one will care when they both finish sub .500 with barely any conference wins. Those teams suck. Everyone knows it.

UNC has sucked for years with a small handful of players keeping them from being atrocious. From Howell to Maye to Hampton. Take away those three players and Mack 2.0 has very few Ws.

I understand your frustration and your negativity, because there's every chance both could finish with 5-6 wins. However, if UNC overcame a 20-0 deficit to win 21-20, I believe some of your opinions might be a bit different.

Yes Milroe has looked GREAT tonight ... but I can recall a handful of Bama QBs who have looked great.

Which begs to question, just how the heck do you know what you're getting with a QB from an elite college squad?

You can never fully know. Burrow and Stroud threw to some of the greatest college receivers in recent memory and were at some of the biggest powerhouses.

For Milroe, I'm on record here flying the flag for him being drafted by Carolina (maybe by myself or with one other). Other than Hurts, he's the most different Alabama QB has ever had. He's a threat with his feet and his arm, and while he still has growing to do, his ceiling talentwise and guts-wise is limitless. Everyone loves to see these guys overcome adversity too, and this guy had to fail and fight to be the starter last year.

We can't let the Bryce experience jade us from Milroe. If we're drafting a QB, he's the guy--especially in a keep-Dalton-and-grow-the-rookie scenario.

State and WF will be below .500 as well

All 4 NC ACC teams bite this year.

Not really. Why would it be? I already know we sucked because we got wrecked by JMU. That told me all I needed to know. What you learned today is y'all are just as bad (well, exactly one point better). The state of college football in NC is at an all-time low.

Everyone knows I dislike UNC (their basketball program; love their academics) but they are really doing a disservice as a football program. I’ve always thought them to be a potential sleeping giant and stand by the concept that they can be dominant in football or basketball. Not both simultaneously.

UNC will reach a crossroads when they enter the SEC where they may have to choose. There’s no reason why UNC can’t be competitive in the SEC in football but it may come as a cost to the relevancy of their basketball program. They’ll either be Kentucky 2.0 or reverse prioritize their programs ala Auburn.

It’s no secret the SEC wants to secure the Carolinas and their markets.

Unlikely, UNC fans don’t even care that Mack has owned Duke because at the end of the day it’s about winning the ACC, not beating Duke.

If your only focus is on beating your rival then you’ll end up content year after year like NCSU fans.

Now if we were a playoff contender then I’d definitely be upset but this is just a bad UNC team that can’t be saved by Sam Howell or Drake Maye.

UNC won’t be seriously competitive in anything outside of field hockey until they get serious about NIL.

DJU revenge game

Clemson 256

FSU 2

In other less exciting games...

Gamecocks lose by million

Colorado lose by a trillion.  To quote the great Cam Newton, who has Colorado ever beaten.  What game can they hang their hat on.  People don't even like Sheduer.  Reality is coming.

You can't help yourself.

People don't like Shedeur yet he's projected to be a top 2 QB. Cam Newton is showing up to his games dapping him up. Shedeur is a man of the people.

Jump on this bandwagon we can go places with you on our side.

    • Today, we are all Kucci... I miss our feral Russian attack goalie!
    • That was a good segment. Watched every minute of it and would highly recommend it to all fans.
    • "So much of what the Panthers are going to do next week isn't dictated by their preference, but by what happens above them. That's another benefit of not getting locked into need. For instance, if you're thinking you want a receiver, seeing five or six of them go off the board and reacting by taking the sixth or seventh off your list instead of the first (or second or third) something else isn't necessarily wise." https://www.panthers.com/news/ask-the-old-guy-back-into-the-weeds-of-the-nfl-draft-bryce-young-charlotte-hornets-mock-draft This is what some don't seem to get, I don't care how many times it is said: You're NOT going to draft an inferior person at one position, just because that position is perceived as, or is in fact, a bigger need. That would basically nullify, or at least lessen, the reason why you set yourself up via free agency to be able to take the BPA/BAP on the board in the first place.  Yes, the process is complex, very much involved and ongoing, but the overall philosophy is not rocket science. You set yourself up in order not to be pigeonholed into taking a lower graded player at the expense of a higher graded one. This is why Morgan, Gantt and countless of others say the same thing. This is why it's just nonsensical to set yourself in a position where you don't have to, but then act like you have to come hell or high water: "Oh, we have to draft [whatever position], and we can't draft [this position]."  I'm good with whatever they do, until proven otherwise, but even then, you have to be mature enough to know that drafting is an imperfect exercise, filled with hits and misses. And, you generally don't know if you've hit, and especially missed, right away. Moreover, like I've said before, sometimes two players--different positions or not--can both be hits on their respective teams, so in that sense, it's not purely about a right or wrong pick as much as it's about putting puzzle pieces together at the time the best way that you know how.  At the end of the day, people are going to believe what they want to believe, but one thing that's true is that what the Panthers do regarding the draft is dependent upon what others do, and what others do can and does change things. That being the case, it's just another reason why you can't go in with tunnel vision. The thought of doing that is preposterous.
