Are we now actively pulling for David Tepper to fail?

He makes profit regardless of wins. He isn't selling. If anything he gets burnt out with continuously failing and finds a new toy to play with that fills the blackmore that is his ego.

You don't have to pull for Tepper to fail, it's an organic process for him in the NFL.

He bought a business that no matter how much he loses, he still wins. An NFL franchise prints $$$.

Yeah he's winning while also being the laughing stock of sports media.

Seems like every time I turn on ESPN or FOX they saying we are the worst team in football. Tepper literally has people talking about him as a a bad owner. He may be making money, but to his other billionaire friends he's the joke in the room. It must suck to be richer than most owners yet your product is the least successful.

    • One of his handful of good games... If he can ever get to a consistently high level, then he'd change minds. As it is... Meh.
    • People are also jumping to the conclusion that Darnold would have figured it out here. I very much disagree. He needed a place where he could be a backup for a while with no pressure. So all the pining over him was pointless. Highly unlikely he would do anything but continue to fail had he stayed here. The one that got away was Baker. He was not as bad as he seemed here. He was always a good player but we were a two bit, middle of the road college program grasping at straws. Had we invested the time in Baker that we have done for Bryce, history would have been quite a bit different. To what end, who knows? Doesn't matter. There are a million hindsight stories that are very unkind to this franchise. There is no one that is more significant than the other. It is what it is.
    • He’s a serviceable starter for us that doesn’t cost much. The reason he doesn’t cost much is that he has flaws, one of which appears to be catching the ball.  It would be good to have a better corner opposite JC but he’s not at the top of the list when it comes to people we need to upgrade.
