No he's not. You still living in the past. Hopkins has been injury prone over the last few years and he's no longer a deep threat WR.

Johnson at this point is a better WR.

What has always made Nuk great in his prime was his hands and ability to go up and get the ball.  He has never lost that.   he is auto 1000+ WR if healthy even at his current age.  He was last year with a trash rookie QB.

Healthy? Nuk all day.  If you are trying to win now? Nuk.  Dionate a better investment for a team looking further out.

Well he has no excuses now. He's got the best QB in the NFL. I want results.

I mean, he put up 1000+ with rookie Levis last year.   Results is what he does.  Just about staying on the field.

All fun n games until we see this offense without Johnson.

Coker actually looks good, but are you expecting us to look a lot worse without DJ?  We are looking historically bad.  Might as well develop some young guys if we are going to get demolished every week...

Yes we will look a lot worse. Neither XL/Mingo/Coker have proven to be a deep threat. Who's making plays down the field after we trade Johnson?

Cool so instead of scoring 7 we score 0.  We still get a pick and remove a veteran who is setting a terrible example.  You do see him giving up on routes right?  Guess who also has the most INTs when targeted in the league out of WRs?  I will give you a hint, he is a Panthers but not XL, Mingo, or Coker....

Overpaying Diontae Johnson which is what it would have taken to even begin to convince him to stay is not going to help us in the long run.

If you wanna hitch your wagon to him do your thing bud.

Yeah and if we want to overpay a WR we are better off throwing money at Higgins in the offseason. He is much better.

If we’re gonna overpay a receiver I’d rather ship DJ and a pick to the jets for Garrett Wilson

It’s not fun and games.  We are losing every week by 20-30 points.  If we didn’t have Johnson we’d still be losing every week by 20-30 points.  Overpaying Johnson won’t do any more than overpaying Christian Kirk did for Jacksonville.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
