I couldn't watch.....who impressed today?

But yes Chubba & the oline were MVPs. Both Coker and XL had some bad drops, 2 on 3rd down. And Bryce played well outside of an over throw to Chubba which would have been stopped on 3rd, and a wheel route by Coker to ice the game where Coker was obviously held and screwed up the timing. So I’d say Bryce played about as well as last week but he was by no means MVP

Chubba " momma there goes that man" Hubbard was a stud but we need to activate brooks and alleviate pressure on him

The o line was great giving Bryce time and a clean pocket and paving the way for chubba

Jackson was solid

jewell was seemingly everywhere today

We have 0 pass rush again. That needs to be addressed next draft.I'm fine with a 3rd or 4th round qb to push young.

Leggett needs to stop body catching

Coker was a steal

Chuba and Wonnum.

Randomly Bryce is now tied with Kyler and Kirk for most 4th quarter comebacks this year with 3

Where are you getting this information or disinformation? The Panther were winning the entire game and Bryce’s  meh play down the stretch allowed the Giants to tie the game and go into overtime.

On top of that Bryce literally handed the ball off 3 times in overtime after the Giants fumble close to the red zone.

Second week in our row our defense had stretches of looking like an actual defense. And the turnovers, those were impressive. Tipped pass INT, juggling a slightly behind throw INT and then a peanut punch fumble that decided the game.

- Chuba, obviously.

- Numbers aren't explosive in the slightest but Bryce did have some good throws, avoided any major mistakes and some of his bad habits like scrambling out of the pocket prematurely and taking unnecessary sacks were not really there. Going back to Dalton feels more like a sideways move now, especially how awful Dalton fell off.

- Legette and Coker co-leaders iin receptions. They both did have a bad drop but then again, they are both rookies. Even if BY doesn't work out, these kids aren't going anywhere for a while.

- Eddy P didn't Gano the game-winner.

It feels good to be able to name more than 3 players.

Coker who? Seriously? Dude has the it factor in spades. Drive killing drive in the second quarter really hurt though.

Legette knows how to get really wide open. Needs hands. Badly.

Bryce played turnover free ball again. He’s a rhythm guy and the drops really threw him off. I like that he will take the shots.

Chuba is Chuba. He’s our Chubb. Just off by 1 letter.  Baller.

my guy of the game: JC Horn. I said it in the game thread. Heart of a lion. Dude sprinted on the field and bucked up to a lineman on the unsportsmanlike play. That told me everything I needed to know. He is HIM. Unquestioned leader on the D with the play to back it up.

If we're going to count the pick against XL last week as an INT, then we're counting today as a GWD. 😛

    • Yeah, I've been torn up all week about this. And I'm going to be honest, you and I don't know poo about what is going on with the team. Are they losing the locker room? Not seeing anything from the players about that, just seeing it on forums like this. Are they concerned? Yeah, I'd think that would be a reasonable assumption. Are they rallying around Bryce? Yeah, that I'm seeing from the stuff we see of the players. Is some of it a bit drummed up, quite possibly. Is some of it genuine care and belief in their teammate, yeah most definitely. What is Morgan going to do? Hell, that was just week 1. And week one is often a liar. Once in a while it tells the truth (and that sure was an ugly one to tell last Sunday). Most often, it's just what it is. Half the teams that played in week one lost. Straight down the middle. Sometimes it was a close game, sometimes it was a blowout. We got punched in the face, had our lunch money stolen and Jacksonville kissed our girlfriend.  Me, I saw a team that wasn't up to speed yet. We were playing like this was the fourth pre-season game like we used to have. We're going to learn a lot about Bryce, this team, our coaching and team management after this week's game. It's against the Cardinals, a team that has always been one of those benchmarks for it. Beat them and good things happen (remember that killer game Julius Peppers had against them), lose and it often starts the fast slide to the bottom again (sadly, that playoff game with Jake...). Right now, the Cardinals have their Bryce Young, except their guy still has a better PR department. They have a meh-ish defense. They have a star WR that is underperforming and was possibly over-drafted. They don't have many stars to speak of and dwell around 3rd-4th place in their division on a regular basis. In other words, they are pretty much on par with us. And they are a forgotten team as well, playing games in obscurity. So, yeah, we're going to learn the tale of the season this weekend. And honestly, if we lose like we just did or worse, and I was Dan Morgan, I'd be working on polishing up that resume`.
    • Lol I don’t understand why everyone is liking that post and quoting it, it’s from last season. Did I miss something?
    • At this point, I don't want anymore fools gold from Young. He either needs to be in the MVP conversation  (lol) or I want to get blown out every game until he is off the team. Our front office just isn't bright enough to handle anything in between.
