If we can't close this game we need to fly Rivera in to talk about the missed opportunities

We literally got screwed on that Thielen TD.  So I can't even call it missed opportunities.  We took advantage of an opportunity and the referees took it away from us.

Outside of qb, this is probably the best panthers offense man for man since 2003.

Uhhh since 2003? Is that a joke? The OL is quite good but our skill positions are sorely lacking today. MAYBE some day XL, Coker and JT rise to that level but two of them aren't on the field today and the other just isn't there yet.

Olsen on his own is leagues better than any player on offense active today, nevermind Smitty and Moose and Double Trouble and CMC...

I gotta be honest. After all the talk of winning for the culture against two teams that already have or eventually will fire their head coach (Saints and Giants) it's not a good look to see him looking like pre Riverboat Rivera out there.

He's been promising but this game has been a head scratcher. He's been gutsy before...

Since implies after

Smith and moose only played together in one game in the 2004 season, and when he came back he was washed.

chuba is probably a top three back in the league right now.

no one is as good as Olsen, but sanders looks better than anyone else since Rosario died celebrating against San Diego.

you can name individual players across fifteen years who were better, but as a group….this panthers team is stacked.

outside of qb, of course.

    • Seven North Carolina players have entered the transfer portal or announced their intentions to enter so far today: Derek Dixon (6.5 PPG) Jonathan Powell (4.8 PPG) Kyan Evans (4.0 PPG) Zayden High (3.4 PPG) Isaiah Denis (1.9 PPG) Jaydon Young (1.8 PPG) James Brown (1.2 PPG)
    • As long as we have DB, odd man fronts are the way to go for us. We want to line DB up between the guard and tackle (4i-tech) because of how quick he is off the snap and his punch on the guard off the snap. If anyone is wondering why he pretty much has to be doubled (or combo blocked) just about every snap, its because he is lined up in that spot in our odd man front. If we change to an even front, it becomes a lot harder to have DB play the 4i-tech.  Not sure if I would say Evero likes smaller NTs - I wouldn't call Bobby Brown a small NT by any sense. I think we run a 1-tech NT, so they are usually getting double teamed (or combo blocked) by concept alone. I actually think Bobby Brown did a pretty good job of eating blocks and being positionally sound on most runs at him (not his fault we were rocking ass LBs last year + Wharton being god awful). The bigger problem came on the toss plays/outside runs where DB wasn't able to blow it up in the backfield (i.e., the Bills game). Lloyd should help with the run D and getting a rangy LB in the draft will definitely help. There are also some good 1-tech DTs (and 0-techs) that can be instant day 1 starters for us in the draft.
    • Thanks for bringing receipts. I appreciate the facts, but they are a stark contrast to what we see on the ice, but maybe, as I've said before, his "aw sh!t" moments just seem to weigh heavier than his "attaboy" moments.
