Dave has preached nonstop on how he wants this to be a running football team, but he's chosen to kick on back-to-back 4th and 1's.

Despite the constant praise and coping here nobody is scared of Bryce Young's arm. This Bucs defense is ranked 29 out of 32. It is beyond pathetic if we can't get in the end zone a few times against this unit at home.

Bryce Young is his QB.

We have to have Andy Dalton come out to throw a hail mary.

On 4th and 1 every single team knows we are going to run.

So? We paid 100M to our guards and 35M to our RB. Line up and put a hat on everyone and knock them in the dirt.

What happens to your run game as the game goes on if the opponent knows you aren't a threat to pass?

And if we go down another score the run goes out the window either way.

But hey QB isn't a need.

On the bright side Bryce has definitely out played Baker so far.

Ummm ok

I must have missed the excellent use of the pocket & the good TD throw under pressure by Young.

Young's made basic throws. Any NFL caliber QB makes those throws

I’d understand sh!tting on Bryce if he was missing guys running wide open down the field or playing check down football but that simply hasn’t been the case these last 4 weeks

The only reason he’s even moving the ball is because he’s throwing guys open and to spots

No idea how anyone can look at the names of the guys he’s throwing to and think this is a Bryce problem right now

    • This.  He knows where the seam is about to open, cuts, and accelerates hard. He’s slippery and tacklers always seem to be taking awkward angles to get to him. No dancing. Runs low and powerful. Almost never goes backwards for a loss. We’ve rarely had the guy who bounces off of tacklers. It’s nice seeing another one.
    • I can't speak for others but yes I read it. The conclusions are based heavily around the use of the statistical metric DYAR created by football outsiders and used by ESPN for this article. It only includes players whose production began in 2000. But excluding HOF running backs who produced BIG in an iteration of the NFL that was not yet catered to making things much easier for offenses in order for them to prop up more recent candidates is rather absurd and seems like just playing favorites regardless of where one might fall on their opinion of the use of the metric in question.
