He just needs to not be injured during off season workouts.

That's a fair point.

What I don't like is he really performs worse the more he's out there, and he's as unreliable with the ball approaching him as Olindo Mare was on a field goal. Dan Morgan really batted .000 in his first draft.

Legette gets worse every game he plays. If he's out there Week 18, maybe he can set a franchise record for drops in a game.

Never take a guy in the first round that's a body catcher as a WR.  I'd take a slower and shorter WR that's got super glue for hands over a tall and fast guy with hands of stone.  That said, I wanted McConkey.

I was fine with going after the local guy. Huge-ass mistake on my part to ever be alright with a Panthers draft pick. I've learned my lesson, though -- we're 5 1/2 months from making another pick, and he already sucks.

Legette wasn't a body catcher in college. I personally think he's still having a tough time with that wrist injury and gutting through it.

I would prefer they keep looking in the drat until they hit on one. Don't matter want round just as long as he has great hands and is fast.

Indeed. More Coker's and less TMJ/Mingo/XL's please. Get ACTUALLY fundamentally sound WR's. If it ends up being a Nabers/Jefferson type, even better. But the beginning and end of the WR discussion should be about how fundamentally sound of a WR you are.

Way too early for that kind of talk

Man you’re funny but in all seriousness one thing we’re not taking into consideration is he seems to have hit his rookie wall. Because he’s definitely decreasing in production. We’re at week 15 that’s a lot of football for rookies some handle it better then others XL right now might need to regroup it appears he mentally fatigued hopefully he can get it together

Actually he was a body catcher and the reason I wasn't as high on him as some.  If he somehow feel to us in the 2nd round, I would have been fine with him.  I did not have a first round grade on him due to body catching and route running being insufficient.

On the plus side his route running has improved and he's getting open.

But his catching still rates as atrocious

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
