Mayfield and Darnold are playing great ball and have been consistently good all year. Bryce on the other hand didn’t really start putting it together until 7 games ago.

If you average out his stats over the past 7 games you’d have a QB that is on pace for 29 total TD’s over a 17 game season. That’s fringe top 10 QB play.

Who know’s if Bryce has completely turned the corner but he’s playing much better than his season stats suggest. 12 total TD’s to 4 total turnovers over the past 7 games isn’t bad. Just for comparisons sake, Jordan Love is at 11 total TD’s to 1 total turnover over his past 7 games. Pretty similar stats with the main difference being the Packers have a really good defense and head coach.

I don't think I'll ever get past all the finger sacks and tackles whenever a d-line guy can get a scratch at him. It's crazy we're basically 5 years into going full circle on Teddy B level as our QB lol. Speaking of it's looking like Sam, Baker, and Teddy now with the Lions as the new backup are going to be in the playoffs!!! Can't make this poo up.

Don't even try this revisionist history slop.

Sam Darnold showed more flashes than Baker Mayfield here but both were hot and cold at best and had some truly horrendous turnover filled games all circumstances aside. To act like it was only a few people who criticized them is ridiculous.

Furthermore you joined a whole 4 months ago. You and I both know you've been here before that so what was your last account so we can dig up your takes on Sam and Baker? Don't hide now you opened this can of worms.

Google makes things pretty easy to find. And I’m simply presenting what was said. If you have an issue with that, perhaps you shouldn’t have said it.

For my opinion. I still don’t think Mayfield is that good — like many, he puts up his best stats against all-time weak defenses. Darnold was alright here and I was fine with keeping him in a backup role.

Well, these comments sound familiar.

I mean, Sam Darnold did dumb things.  And he would do them often after doing good things.  Sometimes awesome things.   Most of his career.  Think a lot of that has to do w/ not having good coaching or with a good org (Jets/Panthers).

Just seems like they have figured out how to remove the dumb.  Sam Darnold as most have always said, was a super physically talented football player.  He potentially could of pursued other positions he had so much talent. Which we don't have right now.  The Darnold and Young critiques don't run that similar.  Most of Sam's critiques were about his decision making.  Most of Youngs are about his physical tools.  Basically polar opposites that simply have being criticized in common.

    • Same, I expect this game to be the one where fans really riot Knowing us...  -Jalon Walker/JPJr. get at least 3 sacks -Jessie Bates gets an INT -Michael Penix throws at least 3 TD passes -XL drops at least 2 passes
    • I realize we were down 24 points when the Carolina Panthers touched the ball  for the first and only time  in the 3rd quarter...and they went on a 14 play checkdown drive taking the exact plays the Cards wanted them too and gave them overall.  and now you got folks cherry picking random plays asking how could it be garbage time if the Cards weren't in prevent on a 3rd down short yardage play or on the goal.  all you got do to is just watch the game live on repeat and not listen to the announcers.
    • Just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth. I think Bryce decides who he's throwing to before the snap too often instead of reading what he sees post snap. Now alot of that is trying to influence the safety, but if the safety doesn't bite, he gets stuck and it turns into Bryce trying to make a play off schedule as the other options are gone. Cam did the same thing when Kelvin and Smitty were in the game. Bryce sees the field. He just gets a little stubborn sometimes. And that's when he gets himself into trouble. That and he doesn't trust guys to make plays on 3rd down. Instead of throwing to the open guy and letting them get the remaining 3-5 yards for the first, he'll wait until he can throw a guy to the markers. I don't think those physical limitations that keep being brought up is that real for him. Well... until he gets tackled and fumbles the ball at an alarming rate. But he has a strong enough arm, sees the field, and doesn't get injured by regular hits.
