As most know, NFL teams have become very resistant to being featured on Hard Knocks. So... in steps Belichick and UNC.

Massive free outreach to recruits. The reason NFL teams hate it is because there's no competitive advantage. That's not the case in college football.

That was my first thought.  Show your facilities, processes, etc. Free commercial.  How many players might transfer seeking publicity now?  He might get 2-3 new transfers.  High schoolers get their first peek into a program to see what it is like, and if they like it, they will want to go there.  The players become famous and when you are recruited, they greet you or they partner with you for the weekend.  The recruits already know them...little things make a huge difference.

Milton Williams (Eagles) DT free agent

Panthers rumored to be targeting the 25 year old DL in free agency

I’m a little uneasy paying through the nose for another Eagles FA who likely will not be nearly as effective outside of the Eagles DL like Sanders was ineffective away from the Philly OL/offense.

I glad they are approaching this draft is that way!! LOLOLOLO just beyond Stoopid.....errraaa I mean brilliant please keep it up failcons!!!

Maybe next year they will fully ignore defense!!! Jesus....

I’m all for it as well. Stupid strategy, period. It reminds me of Hurney/Fitterer and their tendency to fall for certain people like Little and Grier or Corral and DJ Johnson and ignoring people who drop to great value like Crosby or Trey Smith.

If the Falcons have offensive blinders on, that’s awesome and maybe drops some BPA guys to us, especially day 3.

I don't let isolated cases determine present or future decisions, but Sanders benefited from that OL for sure--I said it LOUDLY at the time of the STUPID signing.   However, he would have Derrick Brown here at one DE and he would be the other, sending Robinson to a reserve role.  Signing him would still necessitate the need for a NT, but if we prioritize that, The DL would be pretty impressive here.  At 25, his salary is projected to be $15-20m.  We get a young, experienced, successful DT with a 70 PFF rating at a cost less than our guards cost us last year--each.  I see that Morgan has identified IDL as the biggest need on the team, so if last season was any indicator, he will throw money at DL early.  The Eagles probably can't re-sign Williams, so he is going to be one of the most desirable free agent DLinemen.   I think Morgan will address DE or NT and S in free agency as priorities.

Not saying you are wrong, just saying that 1. I think Williams would not feel much of a drop off with Brown and stud NT.  and 2. Expect Morgan to splash at S and DL.

Let's see how it turns out--but if Williams' demands are too high, you might be right.

Washington and Houston at least try to add weapons around thier young QBs

It’s how teams get turned around or how good teams stay good. I hope we have a plan, and not a seven year one…

Deebo--the reason he cost a fifth and not higher:  he is in the last year of his contract and Washington will take on his salary (not sure how much--$17-21m range).  That does not compare to Mingo at all because every situation is different.

Criticism: Deebo has been criticized for being washed up (only 670 yards, 3 TDs in 2024). They say he is aging more like a RB than a WR the way he is used.  RBs have a shorter life span. Some say he is 20 lbs overweight.

PFF score in 2024 was a very respectable 70.9.

This is good for Washington because they have cap room and they get 1 year to see what they want to do with him--Deebo is 29.

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
