Austin Corbett Signs!

Recommended Posts

LT Ikem Ekwonu | Yoshuah Nijman

LG Damien Lewis | Jarrett Kingston

C  Austin Corbett | Cade Mays

RG Robert Hunt | Chandler Zavala

RT Taylor Moton | Yoshuah Nijman

- Oline looking strong and deep

- look for the team to draft a developmental OT in the midrounds of the draft

- Nijman has a pretty high cap hit for a backup, will probably be cut

Probably came back just to prove David Newton is a liar who likes to creep on players in the changing room.

We aren’t giving David Newton enough credit. This was the mother of all reverse psychology and 4-D Chess to get him back.

Yosh plays in our jumbo package too. He can also backup several spots. He is basically our new BC swing tackle.

Yeah, Nijman was legitimately a bum.

I mean.....that is a massive downgrade, if so. I hope we just draft someone for that. It wouldn't be hard to do better than Nijman.

A league source tells @theobserver that center Austin Corbett’s 1-year extension has a base value of $3 million but he can make up to $7 million with incentives. @mike_e_kaye first reported the agreement Saturday (and the #Panthers later announced the deal was done).

That's fair even with him missing the last two.

Hunt and Lewis love playing next to him, hunt begged him during clean out day and even went public with his man love...

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
