feels like Morgan and co showed their hand and I am completely okay with it

Yes.....Adding a pass rusher threw the draft would solidify all these moves. I mean why just stop now and pivot another direction? It makes no sense, we got guys to stop the run now we just gotta get after the qb. Solidfy the line and worry about everything else next.

Drafting a TE in the 1st in an offense that doesn't seem to use TE much in the passing game doesn't make sense.

Because our TEs suck?  That's a good reason no to use them much in the passing game.  I mean, a 4th rookie all but showed up all our veteran TEs and Sanders is average at best.  Point being, there's a reason we don't use our TEs as weapons in the passing game and I don't think it's because Canales dislikes using TEs.

Apparently Cade Otton was an underutilized stud.  As a middling TE he was still the 4th leading receiver on their team that season.  I mean, he wasn't going to have better stats than Godwin and Evans.  Their starting RB had a few more yards out of the backfield than Otton.

Point is he under utilizes TEs.  If we pick a TE in the first he would have to be our #1 option, that ain't gonna happen with Canales

maybe but I’m getting some offensive vibes

mike Kaye said recently that he feels it’s a near certainty they take a TE in the draft

doesn’t have to be at 8, but…

I mean the money they are throwing around is probably more indicative of a pass rusher, as well as their seeming lack of interest in any of the big names on what is otherwise a pretty big spending spree

But it does kind of feel like TE is a real possibility.

I don't know about in the 1st, but I think they could draft another in the mid rounds. Tremble's contract is short and we still need a 3rd TE on the roster.

sure buddy

Lord knows I don't agree with you on everything, but you are spot on about the bust rate for TEs drafted high.  It's simply too high to justify it on a roster that still needs significant defensive help.

I know Warren is a great prospect, but it would be criminal to pass on the Edge talent that will be available at 8 given our needs.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
