A trade would have negative impact on the 49ers this season.

Resulting in a $18.4-mil cap hit this season opposed to the scheduled $10.7-mil cap hit.

His value is at an all time low after injury. This wouldn’t make much sense.

Oh absolutely we squandered that. But it had to be done as far as moving on and the trade. Just an inevitability for all involved.

The Panthers offense needs speed at the WR position

they don’t have it

if they trade, or draft someone, who does not have that, to take the  over the top  off the defense, it is of no value 

right now, they have possession receivers, add that speed receiver and that offense can take off

CMC is (was), a great player. Between the injuries and father time he may very well be done. It is what it is.
