@Bear Hands I think this is first year, maybe since 2014, I feel no one knows the pick. Shaq(2015?) was called by Zob, I remember it clear. Each year since someone called the pick couple weeks before. 

Still time to past until the the real news is leaked, but right now no one has the Panthers pick correct.

I watched a lot of film on Stewart.  If we draft him at 8 I am totally good with it.  He was dominant in his role.  He played within the system.  Could be our next J. Peppers

Agreed. When you really break down the tape you see the potential.  I love the relentlessness the most.

This is what I came out with after watching more as well. Probably have Shemar above Williams now.

I think Shemar's floor is a lot higher than when I initially started reading about him.

Trying to find some advantages:

• 6'5 260, 34"+ arms, only 21 years old
• Quality run defense.  Not elite, but it's up there
• Ceiling is pretty high - sculpt-able if the coaches want him
• Good speed & power combo

Disadvantages:

• Behind developmentally as a pass rusher
• Poor burst - even though he has the size, the athleticism isn't really there you'd expect to see
• No good counters or real PR gameplan, just an aggressive type with no real plan 
• May be better suited in a 4-3
• Gets caught sloppy in the upper body, and gets thrown off easily
• Looked lost at times when he was stifled by OLs
• Had a few nagging injuries this past year
• Simply disappeared for long stretches with UGA

This is not a top-10 draft prospect.  But if actualizes and we grab him, with some success, I'll gladly eat crow.  

Could be an okay complimentary EDGE talent, but isn't a top guy for a team even if he hits his ceiling.

This is why I'm on the Jihaad Campbell train. High ceiling AND high floor, he's a football junky with all the measureables to keep going up from there. If you watch his tape against LSU, and 1st round tackle Will Campbell, showcases what he can become I feel.

High floor players seem to be anathema to this organization.

After considering offers from the Steelers for George Pickens and Minkah Fitzpatrick, the Panthers stay put and are the first team to draft a Georgia defender (in part because the Eagles aren’t picking until 32). Using a top-10 pick on a player with minimal production in college is a risk, no matter Williams’ physical gifts (which are many). But the Panthers are banking on big upside from one of the youngest players in the draft – one whose final season at Georgia was slowed by a high ankle sprain. Carolina has propped up the defense infree agency, havnt really done much on offense.  I think they go offense in 1st. I was high on Jeanty but they shored up the RB position, so prolly Warren.
