while I do like Hardy, he made a couple very costly mistakes against TB. Still, he looks good and certainly wants to hit someone.

With the rotating DE's, why not? Makes some noise for the fans, gives the other team something to chew on, gives our guys notice that we need the production and hopefully we could get a jump on developing the youth talent we have. Does it really matter who starts at DE for us at this point? Except to the players involved?

btw...isn't brayton supposed to be back this week? he was practicing today, albeit in limited action.

it would be nice to have brayton, johnson, hardy, and brown all back in there.

If we keep losing(which I pray we don't) I fully expect him to be starting before the end of the season. Especially with Brayton and Johnson being FA's next year.

Actually I know I am going against the grain but Hardy while doing good for a rookie isn't better than Brayton right now. He has 0 sacks and 6 tackles in 2 games where he has played the lion's share of downs. I like him coming in as a third down passer rusher and in relief, but I would be unhappy if Brayton comes in and doesn't do better. In a year or two Hardy may very well be a beast and he was a steal in the sixth round, no doubt. But lets see what he does before giving him a starter role yet.

Those who nicknamed Hardy as "Little Pep" are insulting to the guy. He can actually speak articulatley, is smart, and approachable. Plus added to great physical skills and determination. Hardy wins my vote.

im a huge Hardy fan but it's getting old that we cant get any damn sacks, we had 18 going into the Pitt per season game (3 games) and it never carried over to regular season, it's like we have no spark what so ever and are afraid to send blitzers, if we could blitz just 1 more play per possesion I think we could start getting the sacks, Hardy is a damn Beast and I would hate to see what he could do if he was pissed off and wanted to make an example outta someone..... Palmer????
