here's an interesting scenario....Sanders falls to us and no one wants to trade with us except the Saints (they don't know no one else wants to move up).  Do we trade with a division rival?  The trade chart value is a late 4th to move up one with us....if they are desperate, they might offer a third, possibly a 2nd this year or next....do we do it?  Or do we decline and let them get him anyway with the next pick?

QB is a crap shoot....he's fallen some on a lot of boards, but he could be their long term starter

I would take a third-if we don't, our bluff gets us nothing.  So we are not helping a division rival by NOT dealing.  Take the third, take Walker or whomever, and laugh when you get to the third round and take their pick

Only thing I'd be worried about is if Walker is sitting there and we trade then they take Walker.  Losing Walker for a third would be hard to swallow, a 2nd i could maybe live with

I only think they do that trade for Sanders if we are talking to other teams at 8. If they were woried about us taking their pick they would try and jump to 7. I have no idea what they want to do if Carr is not dead weighting their roster this year but they have to be looking hard now.

Dart at 9 is ridiculous in my opinion. He was helped immensely by the Kiffen system. Seems like a bunch of the commenters do not expect him to make it past the 1st round though.

I didn't watch many Ole Miss games last year, but he didn't jump out at me when I did.  His highlights show he can be very accurate, but he looks limited.  Walter football has his NFL projection as Gardner Minshew.

I agree and he is certainly not ready to start right out of the gate, but people are talking about Milroe in the first round. That Saints' story is going to make teams that want a qb start to sweat.

I watched every Ole Miss game this last year and i was never convinced Dart will be a productive starter in the NFL. Minshew might be a good comp.

He reminds me a little of Jake Locker. He does have some physical skills, and a little mobility. Locker I think made it a couple of years. I sort of expect the same from Dart.

Hence why I hope the Saints take him. He is likely a 2nd string QB at his best.

I'd take a 1st swap, 3rd, and next years 2nd for it.

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
