The Shedur pranker has been identified. Son of Falcons coach copied the number

I'm definitely not a fan of Deion's bullsh-t, and Shedeur acting like a dick in his interviews is his own fault.

All that said, this was not funny. Kicking somebody when they're down never is.

This dumbsh-t kid deserves whatever punishment he gets.

It was so weird and trashy to punch down on somebody that was already being actively punished for their actions.

Ulbrich's kid will likely be shown the grace they never considered giving Shedeur. 😕

If I’m the Falcons I’m concerned on how a staff members kid got confidential info like a prospects number. Makes you think what other dumb poo is being left out to expose if you can’t even keep a phone number in house

Eh, not so much, it's not like some random stranger on the street was able to get it from them, that would be concerning.

Do you lock your computer at home when you go to the kitchen to get a snack or go to the bathroom?

Of course not.

This is no different, unless this kid had done something in the past to make his dad think he'd do something like this, he'd have had no reason to think he needs to lock his computer/phone/etc in his own home if he was just in another room.

It's coming out that a whole bunch of players got pranked this draft, saw one player got a bunch of prank calls saying he was picked.

I wonder if the league did something different this year with how that all works or if these things have always happened and they were just kept under wraps in the past and the Sanders family putting this one out there publicly then made all the other players who got pranked come out and say something too.

But it does remind me of a great calling of a draft prospect prank a few years back.  A friend of the player, who was at the draft party, called him to mess with him, but since he saw on the ID who it was, he laughed it off right away as a "why would you call me right now" as opposed to trying to prank them as pretending to be a GM.

Mine is set to auto lock after a short time period. And if it has confidential data on it (as this one did), then it should be a short time period.

Again, yes and no.

Mine is also set to an auto lock of like 10 minutes, but that's still more than enough time for a stupid college kid to go do what he did while his dad went to grab a drink from the kitchen.

Coaches aren't out in public somewhere that having a quick lock is a necessity, they likely are only using their laptop/tablet in one of 2 places, at the team facility or in their own home, so fear of someone doing this in the 2 minutes they're away from their desk is basically 0% outside of something like this happening where it was his son.

It is very, very easy for an org to set up an MDM that forces devices to lock after 5min of inactivity.

Bad opsec to not have that (nor an internal policy that requires devices be locked if not in use) especially given that there's likely access to other information like plays, limited medical info, etc

I work in software and I can't imagine leaving my work laptop unlocked while unattended.  Home computer, sure.  Work machine?  I could lose my job.

    • The good news is that we are pretty uniquely well established to address all of our needs this season. We have $14m real cap space, and something like $40m in trade deadline cap space. Not sure exactly how that works out. But, we have the room to absorb any bad contracts. With recent rule changes regarding retention, that went into effect this season, we now have a huge advantage in the trade market.  On top of that, while we do have obvious needs, we also have a glut of talent in certain areas that we struggle to find ice time for. We are over-stocked on scrappy talented lil-guys, strong defensively sound 3rd liners and shutdown left shot dmen. Whether it's a package or separate deals, idk. But, one of each from Stank/Blake/Nads, Erob/Carrier/KK/Jank, and Walker/Nystrom; throw in some 1st round picks (and frankly any other prospects they want) and we should be able to come out with a 1b to pair with Bussi and either a 2c with size or a 2c and size.   TL/DR We got the money, you got the stuff?
    • I don’t  think 6’4 was ever considered small or undersized. Baby hands tho, yes that was his thing That’s an interesting idea, like an optical illusion? Sounds like you have personal experience with this!
    • in the 25' draft the Carolina Panthers had hired Brandt Tillis someone who actually understood how to build a successful team & build through the draft .  this team was yes mismanaged for years prior to Brandt Tillis joining the team in 25' & rarely done anything right in the draft outside occaionaly getting lucky on an UDFA such as Jalen Coker who's dad coincidentally happened to be a huge Carolina Panthers fan, hint hint  ...just saying
