I’m ready to fall in love with the Carolina Panthers again

So ya’ll got the honeydicking you desired and seek before product was even tested?  We are offseason champions once again!

For those who don’t know what honeydicking is…

Honeydicking:

Deliberately appealing to the emotional, less rational aspects of a persons nature in order to seduce them into advancing their own personal agenda.

I've gone back to buying Panthers merch for the first time in a couple of years. Have some optimism for the first time since we drafted Bryce, which quickly met it's downfall.

Don't fug this up, Panthers.

Same, but I'll take it even a step further, it's not about my willingness to buy Panthers gear again for the first time in a few years, it's that I'm even just wearing it again.

I don't think I've worn a Panthers shirt in almost 2 years now, I stopped about a month into Bryce's rookie season, I just struggled to get behind the organization and all the mistakes I felt they were making.

But I've basically been wearing Panthers gear exclusively since we made the T-Mac pick.  My enthusiasm for the team is quite possible at an all time high (maybe that's dumb, but c'mon, you all KNOW why lol).

I stopped following the team after they exiled Cam and started to regain my interest when Rhule got fired. Like many have said, this is the first year where it feels like the team has felt like the formed some sort of identity post Cam and Luke. Post Fox era felt so easy bc we lucked into Cam and Luke in back to back drafts. I also didn’t start watching until the SB38 run so Fox era and Cam era was all I knew. Super excited to see where the team goes. It feels good to fully believe again

Not ready to get my hopes up but at least the team is finally trying to build through the draft. I think this season has the most hope since before Tepper bought the team. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if they were god awful again either.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
