You guys are expecting/hyping too much for this team as usual. All it take is 1 or 2 key injuries and this team could finish with a worse record than last year. But the offseason is where dreams are made and I certainly do not want to burst your bubble before the season even starts.

i think you might be overestimating the strength of the rest of the NFCS. if we win the division or come close it's going to have as much to do with the rest of the division sucking as it is with our getting better (which we will be).

The biggest things I look for are things like West > East travel, and short weeks. As far as those things go, we got about as favorable a draw as one could have hoped for.

This is a great schedule for a young team. I still don't think were quite there yet, but this is a great year to take a big step forward.

Similar to last year, more important than the record is how we get there in my opinion. I don't think we can win it all yet. 9-7 but Bryce stinks (I don't see how this is possible) is a worse result for our immediate future than 7-9 but Bryce plays well throughout.

people talk about how easy the schedule is but that always sort of bunk going off last year's win/loss %.   I mean, it's not brutal but who knows what it really will end up.

I will say, on face value, I'd rather flip flop the home vs away games and have the road teams at home.   The road schedule is against the easiest teams on the schedule, so I would rather have the homefield advantage to go with that vs given it to them.

Atlanta opens at home, closes at home, and gets a home game against the garbage saints to close out the season.

Panthers-yet again-open on the road, close on the road against tampa, and a garbage bye-again.

So our improvement depends on how bad the rest of the division is and not how much better we are?

to an extent we still will be what we will be.  We haven't drastically changed.   We likely will be a bottom 3rd defense.  We will likely be a bottom 3rd pass attack.

I expect us to improve but we were really bad in both areas last year, so while we should improve in both areas.......I don't expect an Earth shattering change in those 2 departments.

If Bryce plays like 2nd half Bryce from last year, 8 wins or so I'd think. Which, we could've been a 6 or 7 win team last year if we got that Bryce all year long.

The defense is improved and better by default which I think is worth a win or two. We'll need some luck on our side for anything better (welp), but if this is another 4-6 win season, I'll be depressed.

I mean, we should have won 6 or 7 pretty easily even with Bryce's atrocious play from the first half...Defense giving up a game-tying FG with less than a min and Chuba fumbling in OT vs Bucs at home, defense folding vs the Chiefs late at home, XL dropping a perfect game winning TD pass vs the Eagles on the road, that's 3 potential wins right there

8 weeks before we play a playoff team. i like that. and only 4 total playoff teams on the schedule. of course probably a quarter of the playoff teams from last year won't return (like usual) so there will probably be a couple that we play who wind up there. i think we wind up in the playoffs too.

i have it broken down like this...
1     @ jags    W
2     @cards    L
3     falcons     W
4     @pats    W
5     dolphins    L
6     cowboys    L
7     @jets    W
8     bills    L
9     @packers    L
10     saints    W
11     @falcons    W
12     @49ers    W
13     rams    L
15     @saints    W
16     bucs    W
17     seahawks    L
18     @bucs    L

9 - 8 with a wildcard spot in the playoffs.

Beating Atl twice! Beating the niners? Sweeping the Saints. I think much more likely we get swept by Bucs and split Saints and Atl. I love your optimism but below is much more likely.

1     @ jags    L
2     @cards    L
3     falcons     W
4     @pats    L
5     dolphins    W
6     cowboys    L
7     @jets    W
8     bills    L
9     @packers    L
10     saints    W
11     @falcons    W
12     @49ers    L
13     rams    L
15     @saints    L
16     bucs    W
17     seahawks    L
18     @bucs    L

6-11
