I don’t think either of our guys make it this year. Mole face and Fitzgerald are locks. Hopefully Luke gets in this year.

I think Olsen has a better shot. Those consecutive thousand yard seasons are a flag he can plant.

Our "waitlist" also includes Smitty.

Neither stand any chance of making it under the new voting rules (and hopefully they still change them back, as the new rules will end up keeping TONS of deserving players out).

Even under the old rules, Olsen would only have had a very outside chance if the TE position didn't keep putting up bigger and bigger numbers ever year, but since they are, he'd likely never make it either.

TD is a legit Panthers legend, maybe the most "Panthers" player of all time, but league-wide is more of a feel good story with his 3 ACL recoveries and a WPMOY award, but that's not going to get him into the HOF unfortunately.

I think Olsen has to wait a year but makes it. Not sure on Smitty with WR competition being steep. Luke this year or next. Not sure on TD, he could have a really tough time breaking through the competition at LBer.

I think they are Carolina Legends that will be properly celebrated in our Ring of Honor one day.  I'd put TD over Olsen in pecking order but it's close.

But they aren't making the HOF.  The ACLs ruined TDs chances and Olsen will be swallowed up by TEs with better stats and rings.

This. They're Panthers greats, but not HOFers and that's fine. They were great players and can hold their head high regarding their careers.

Both had a chance to have HOF careers though. TD had much of his prime robbed by three ACL injuries and Olsen was a late bloomer who had to get out of Chicago to blossom. He was basically a JAG for the first five years of his career before he became the player he was expected to be.

As someone once said of Chris Collinsworth as a player, "If they had a hall of the really, really good, he'd be in there."

As much as we love them, TD and Greg probably aren't getting the gold jackets, unless Greg gets it for broadcasting way down the line.

Both were excellent players, and heroes locally, but not on the national note HoF level of Pep, Luke, Smitty or Cam (eventually).

Sadly neither make it. I think the only player that the Panthers have that could would be Kuechly.

89 will be the next Panther in, and might be the only one for a very very long time. I think Kuechly has an outside shot. He would be a lock had he kept playing.

It's pretty much a disgrace that the voting rule change didn't allow Luke to be first ballot. fug you Deion

I got Luke in before 89 or Cam

I still think Luke is technically our best player.  He just played ILB which isn't a premium spot.
