It's totally the Panthers way to put out someone week 1 who isn't a punt returner in the NFL and just pray.....

It's like Donald Trump and Joe Biden had a baby....and then that baby was dropped on it's head.  That's the Panthers.

I’m not worried about PR.  Horn did it some in college, but even watching him in preseason, he’s a natural at it.  He has shiftiness and playmaking ability naturally as well.

but I absolutely do think HR, nursing a hammy or not, should 1000% be on this roster over Moore.

high drop %, horrific YAC per reception , and doesn't get open.  David Moore doesn't actually do anything well.

He is a ST team warm body.

There are reasons we are the worst team in all of pro sports.  It the decision makers.  I mean, forget Renfrow.  Moore still being on this roster highlights all you need to know about why we stink.  Easily better options everywhere to upgrade over dudes.  Now multiple it out.  If they can upgrade the glaringly east stuff.  You know they can't do it elsewhere.

We'll see. I'll be keeping tabs on the snap counts for Moore versus the younger receivers.

I got no issue w/ Horn taking a spot. I don't love him as a week 1 PR guy though.

I mean, if they cut Renfrow and Moore? I'd be like......sucks but I get it.  Moore being on the roster just highlights negatives about our decision makers....and you know it isn't going to just be Moore where they exercise their bad decision making.  We are where we are because of it.

18 first downs last season as a 5th or 6th option. 3 TDs.  Don't get the hate.

He looked decent filling in during that Kansas City game.  Regardless WRs this deep on the roster are special teams players primarily.

I worry they're going to force XL onto the field to try and justify taking him so high, even when he's clearly not a starting-caliber player.

XL has the highest ceiling of any receiver we have. He damn well better be part of the game plan.

I've seen moore around the NFL for years. He offers nothing dozens of other players can do with 0 upside.

Renfrow IMHO offered slightly more with wayyy more upside and reasons to root for him and the team.

That being said we are getting upset about a 5th or 6th wr.

That also being said he'll probably sign with someone else, ball out and we can all say told you so

As bad as he was, I was more impressed with Bryce as a rookie than XL as a rookie.

Makes no sense. Bryce Young as a rookie at times looked like a fish out of water as an NFL QB.

XL despite his issues with the drops was getting open and blowing past defensive backs.

Definitely noticing a tendency from certain people who harp on XL more than others.

    • Sellers has bust written all over him..unless he goes to a team that can afford to sit him where he can learn the game and develop without the pressure of starting immediately. Not sure that is the Panthers. If we do go rookie in the draft, he can't be viewed as a day 1 starter. He does have potential, but I think it is going to have to be a handle-with-care situation.
    • Nothing will change with the qb situation until Tepper is convinced Young is not viable. Until that point, it will be Young. During that time, any shortcomings of Young will be because he does not have the necessary supporting cast, and/or coaches are failing him with faulty schemes and defective gameplans.  So, until Tepper is out, Young is in.
    • Young is the kind of QB who will go as far as the team drags him 90% of the time. And once in a long while he'll explode and light the opposing team up. That is not anywhere near where we need to be as a team. What' worse is that we've won way too many games this season due to an extremely easy schedule. So we can't select a top QB in the draft, and a free agent QB is usually not the answer.  The Panthers fell victim to a long stretch of bad QBs coming out of college. Even if we had made different moves and selected any number of different QBs coming out, we still would have ended up with a bust most likely. Bryce is a bust. Tua is a bust. Zach Wilson? Yikes. Trey Lance. Justin Fields. Mac Jones. Kenny Picket. CJ Stroud. My point is that a lot of teams were devastated by this stretch of bad QBs coming out of college, but we were dumb enough to trade the farm for one of them.  The smart move? Tale the 2 first round picks from the Rams for Burns, and keep CMC. Sit tight. Whatever QB falls in your lap in the draft, take him. Then use the other two first round picks to build up the o-line on the cheap. This isn't Morning GMing. I said take the Rams deal at the time. We have not had a good GM ever in franchise history.  No more trading up for QBs. Clearly is a total guessing game. Stay put. Trade vets for draft picks and start the rebuilding process with a new GM and new coaches. Cut Bryce and bring him back on a vet min deal. Then cut him again for being trash. He's done here if I had any say.
