Thielen traded

We got a fourth for the oldest receiver in the league. It’s honestly a pretty good return, and everyone’s concern over losing a well-past-his-prime Adam Thielen is just evidence of how far the standards of this franchise have fallen.

T-Mac, Coker, and XL can carry the load. Looking forward to seeing the new-look offense.

and not paying him anything else to boot

good trade

I’m not sure how anyone could expect us to net anything more than a 4th rounder for a 35 year old wide receiver honestly

a little bummed bc of his importance to the team the last few years and as a vet in the WR room, but from a strictly football perspective I don’t think it’s a bad trade.

well said, I just hope our offense doesnt regret this for the first quarter or so of the season.

I like Adam Thielen, not diminishing him or his contributions whatsoever

Still sounds like to me that he wanted to return to Minnesota. Reports are he is reworking his contract for the Vikings.

Bottom line: he doesn't get traded if he wanted to stay

He wanted to stay, but he was also presented with an option he liked more and worked to make that happen. Two things can be true at the same time.

With Thielen gone and Renfrow cut, Trey Palmer makes a lot of sense as a waiver claim for Carolina. Good familiarity with Canales and Idzik.

Ooh didn’t realize he was waived. He has flashed but that’s a deep WR room. I find him one of the more compelling WRs out there right now.

is that a reflection on him simply wanting to go home (something he could do in Jan) or him seeing us in the preseason and wanting to play with a contender on his last ride? hmmmmmmmmm.......

Two things can be true

one thing about him…he was clutch

the only potential reliable receiver at this moment is Coker.   #4 is a rookie.  We have seen the Legette show   David Moore ?

we shall see

I loved Thielen here but this move makes sense. Tmac XL Coker Horn Jr. And Moore barring injury these guys need to see the field. Except maybe Moore but he's made some solid plays and has a good rapport with Young

Coker to me could possibly be our best WR this year if Tmac struggles with separation. Sucks to lose Thielen but at the end of the day we need our young guys to cook
