Jeremy Folwer: Panthers inquired about trading for Micah Parsons

Agreed.  We should be banned from trading away 1st round picks until we get a playoff win.  We still have a lot of holes and not much depth on this roster.  Just keep trying to add talent where we can.

Trading any 1sts can't even be a consideration until we know we have QB solved. The organization has convinced themselves on Bryce but I'm far from convinced. If his ceiling is what he was after coming back from the benching he ain't it. He needs to keep building in that.

Has any team gotten less a return on first round picks the last three seasons than the Panthers?

It’s a sad state of affairs when the franchise high water mark of GM’s is Marty “8-ball” Hurney.

According to ESPN senior NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler, the Carolina Panthers were (sorta) in on one of the biggest deals in league history.

Fowler joined 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday morning to discuss his new deep dive into the Dallas' Cowboys shocking trade of superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons

Quote

"I know the Carolina Panthers inquired," Fowler stated. "They did not make a formal offer, but they did inquire. So they were in talks. And we heard some whispers from league circles that Micah had interest in certain teams.

"But Carolina did look into it, and Dallas would've had reason to look into that because of Derrick Brown—star defensive tackle. They were looking for those type of players, interior d-linemen. So they made some sense, but Carolina ultimately didn't wanna move Brown and didn't move on that."

Las Vegas Raiders- Henry Ruggs, Damon Arnette, Alex Leatherwood, Tyree Wilson, Brock Bowers

Tennessee Titans- Isaiah Wilson, Caleb Farley, Treylon Burks, Peter Skoronski, JC Latham

There are two bags of dog vomit, my God it's awful......Bowers saved the raiders, I think 3 are already out of the league and I honestly don't know about Wilson.

Titans is two week old dumpster trash.

Colts with AR-15 makes them at the leagues bottom bitach too, he maybe the worst pick in the last 5 years.

I honestly need to think this over, would you pay FA Parson that insane deal in the open market?

Right now I think my answer is 99.8% HELLLLLLL NOOO.

I need to sleep on it, its such a huge number and guarantee ....... Just changes the whole team and how to build the roster. You can forget about Ickey and no chance you could keep horn.

You 100% must start hits on like 50% of the draft picks too, which for Carolina is impossible.

I’d take Richardson for one first vs Bryce for what Carolina gave up, tbh

Dang that is too much suckage to process for me.....

I did 100% have AR over BY in ranks, the book is not over for either......but after this season the ink maybe dry for one or both....

I will always hold teppers arse over a barrel about forcing that trade for a QB on this sorry-ass 2 win level team(both last sec FGs, never lead..). Then to use the 1st overall on a QB that has the body of small kicker, just set the team back yearS unless miracles can happen....

I would have made that deal. I know they play different positions, but Parsons would have got us more sacks in one season than DB has in his entire career. I think Brown is a good player, not a great one. I know that opinion isn't popular around here. But ask any team in the NFL who makes more of an impact on the field week in and week out...DB or Parsons? I think over 2/3 of the teams would have picked the latter.

You think Parson's has that much more of an impact than Brown? Did you watch the Panthers defense last year? Brown is a perennial All-Pro candidate.

Brown has made the pro bowl once.

Parsons has made the pro bowl every season, first team all pro twice, second team all pro once, and was also DROTY

parsons has been one of the four or five best defenders in the league since he was drafted. You cannot say that about brown.
